BAI selected a 10-member team for the Birmingham Games through a gruelling Selection Trials.
A Star studded team was selected for the CWG 2022 by the Badminton Association of India, the team includes big names like Srikanth Kidambi, Lakshya Sen, PV Sindhu & Lakshya-Chirag.
At the games there will be Six medals up for grabs and Indian team who topped the medal tally in Badminton at the last games held in Gold Coast Australia would be looking to repeat the feat.
India had a medal in all the events except the Mixed Doubles, infact the Women Singles was an All-Indian affair won by Sindhu defeating Saina Nehwal.
The Men Finals was won by the great Malaysian Lee Chong Wei in a three games battle. H S Prannoy who had a phenomenal tournament till SemiFinals lost two matches to lose the Bronze Medal.
In the Men Doubles then the young pair of Chirag-Satwik lost to British pair in the finals, while in the Women Doubles event Ashwini-Sikki won the Bronze Medal.
The Mixed team event was won by the Indian team defeating a formidable Malaysian team.
In the Men Singles section, Lakshya Sen & Srikanth Kidambi will be presenting Indian challenge while Satwik-Chirag would compete in the Men Doubles section.
Sumeeth Reddy is expected to partner Ashwini Ponnappa for the Mixed Doubles event.
In the Women Section, Sindhu & Aakarshi will be competing in the Singles event. Treesa & Gayathri will be competing in the Women Doubles section.
