On Sunday, India’s ace shuttler Satwik & Chirag claim their 8th BWF World Title and 4th Super 500 title in Thailand.

Life has come to a full circle for Satchi before the Paris Olympics, they have won Thailand Open S-500 once again which is also their breakthrough tournament in 2019 which helped them established themselves in badminton world.

After a disappointing campaign in Thomas Cup, Satchi have redeem themselves once again with a tournament victory. They have won all their matches in a dominant fashion by defeating their opponents in two straight games.
In quarterfinals they have defeated Arif & Yap of Malaysia by 21-7,21-14 scoreline. Later in Semifinals they faced Ming & Tang of Chinese Taipei where they ease past them with a scoreline of 21-11,21-12.
In finals they went up against WR-29 Liu & Chen of China where they prevailed by 21-15,21-15 scoreline.

After this dominant performance in Thailand, they have once again crowned as WR 1 in BWF World rankings.
In an interview Satwik said “It has been lucky tournament for us. The journey started from here. We lifted this title in 2019 and again we are lifting it here now. After 2019, we went on to win many tournaments and hopefully, it will give more boost to us in upcoming important tournaments”.

Asked about Paris Olympics, Chirag said: “Not just us but all athletes want to go out there in the Olympics and win that medal and we too want that and hopefully we will play well there.”

Satchi will be playing their next tournament in Singapore from 28 May which is a S750 tournament, hopefully they will carry out this momentum and win their maiden Singapore Open title.
