Jyothi Vennam and Pravin Jadhav also make a comeback in the team

Star Recurve Archer Deepika Kumari is back in the Indian team and will shoot for medals at the upcoming Paris World Cup.

A lot of headlines were made when names like Jyothi Vennam, Deepika Kumari, Atanu Das and Pravin Jadhav failed to make it to the Indian squad for the World Cup and subsequent Asian Games

The star couple Atanu and Deepika were even removed from the Tops list owning to the dismal performance. Such was the situation that Tarundeep Rai was the only Archer to keep his spot in the team from the Archers who represented India at Tokyo games.

Deepika had a phenomenal last year wherein she won two stages in Guatemala and Paris. She went to on claim the World no1 position as well. One need to also remember that the mighty Koreans were absent from the competition last year.

The performance of the recurve team has not been very encouraging this year which might have prompted AAI to make changes in the team.

Indian Recurve archer so far have won one Gold Medal in Mixed team and One Bronze in Women Team. No Individual medals in the first two stages.

World Rank 3 Archer Jyothi Vennam also makes a comeback and will strengthen the team.

The stage three of the world cup will begin on June 21 with qualifying starting on Tuesday
