The experienced pair of Yuki Bhambri and Saketh Myneni defeated the second seed of the tournament to win Doubles title. They were playing together at the ATP Challenger 80 event after successful campaign at the Future tournaments in India where they won couple of them this season.
This is fourth doubles title for India this season with Arjun Kadhe winning couple of them with different partners and Saketh/Ramkumar combining to win the Bengaluru Open Challenger 80
In the Final they were up against the Second seed of the tournament Aragone from 🇺🇸 and the local player Quiroz 🇪🇨. Saketh/Yuki lost the first set 4-6 but made a spirited comeback to win the next set 6-3 to take the match in super tiebreaker
In the decider they never let the lead slip up and ensured they were the first team to reach the ten points to win the Challenger event.
Earlier in the tournament the Indian duo started the campaign in the beast mode defeating the Top seed and all Indian pairing of Ramkumar Ramanathan and Jeevan Nedunchezhiyan in straight sets 6-3,7-6
In the Quarterfinals they got better of Zimbabwean pair of Lock in a quick game of couple of sets. The match finished in less than 80 minutes 6-3,6-4
Their semifinal was against Santillan 🇦🇺 and Statham 🇳🇿 which finished in less than 75 minutes. The Indian team showed no mercy defeating their opponents 6-4,6-4 with one serve break in each set
With this win Saketh Myneni will jump 15 spots to world rank 201 while Yuki will climb 225 places to world rank 375.
