India’s Syndrela Das continued her remarkable run at the WTT Youth Contender Vadodara 2026, adding a second title in as many days as she partnered with Sarthak Arya to win the U-19 mixed doubles crown at the SAMA Indoor Sports Complex on Sunday.

The tournament, presented by the Sports Authority of Gujarat, has brought together some of the finest young table tennis talents from India and abroad, offering a high-quality platform across age groups from U-11 to U-19. The second edition of the WTT Youth Contender in Vadodara is being hosted by the Table Tennis Association of Baroda and implemented by Ultimate Table Tennis (UTT). With a total of 226 players competing across multiple categories, the event has underlined Gujarat’s growing prominence as a key hub for international junior table tennis.

The U-19 mixed doubles final turned out to be a largely one-sided affair, with Syndrela and Sarthak producing a dominant performance against the top-seeded pairing of Abhinandh Pradhivadhi and Ananya Muralidharan. Displaying excellent coordination and tactical clarity, the Indian duo cruised to an 11-3, 11-9, 11-3 victory to seal the title. Their sharp service returns, quick movement at the table, and ability to seize the initiative early in rallies left their higher-seeded opponents struggling to find answers.

For Syndrela, the mixed doubles triumph capped another memorable day at the office. Earlier, she had lifted the girls’ U-17 singles title, reaffirming her status as one of India’s most consistent performers on the junior circuit. The Kolkata paddler now remains firmly in contention to retain her U-19 singles crown, a feat that would further cement her dominance at this level. Her ability to switch seamlessly between singles and doubles formats has been a standout feature of her campaign in Vadodara.

The U-15 mixed doubles final also saw Indian pairs rise to the occasion, with Vivaan Dave and Naisha Rewaskar claiming the title after a convincing win over Reyansh Jalan and Tanishka Kalbhairav. The winners controlled the match from the outset, taking it 11-8, 11-8, 11-3 to secure the championship. Their composure in crucial moments and effective placement, particularly in the opening two games, proved decisive as they steadily pulled away in the decider.
