Recently crowned national champion Sreeja Akula was the only singles player to make it to Quarterfinals
Big hopes were there from the tournament as a lot of young and promising Indian talent were taking part in the tournament
Men Singles
There were as many as Five players from India in the singles draw but only Manush Shah could make it to PreQ losing to the top seed Chuang from 🇹🇼 0-4
Harmeet Desai lost a close match to Jarvis 3-4 in round 2 while the other Kiranjoy, Manav and Mudit couldn’t cross the first hurdle as well
Women Singles
While Sreeja Akula after getting a bye in first round won two matches against unranked opponents she ran into Top Seed and lost to her 2-4
Archana Kamath and Ayhika Mukherjee lost their PreQuarter final matches to Chinese Taipei opponents.
Madhurika Patkar after getting a bye in Rd1 lost her first match while Krittwika Roy lost in the first round itself
Men Doubles
Harmeet and Manav made their way to Semis but lost to the Japanese pair of Hiroto and Yuta 1-3. Hiroto and Yuta had earlier defeated yet another Indian pair of Manush and Mudit in Quarterfinals
Women Doubles
The Top seed pair of Sreeja and Archana were outset by the Japanese Asuka Sakura in straight sets 11-5,11-5,13-11
Sreeja Archana had got better of the only other indian pair of Ayhika and Krittwika Roy in a very close match
Mixed Doubles
The top seed pair of Archana and Manav were shown the door in the Quarterfinals itself when they lost of Chen and Chuang 1-3
The other Indian pair of Sreeja and Harmeet lost in the first round itself
Overall a lot was expected from this tournament but top players failed to live upto the promise
