UP Dominators delivered a commanding response in the Pro Wrestling League 2026, registering an emphatic 7–2 victory over Tiigers of Mumbai Dangals in Match 4 at the Noida Indoor Stadium on Saturday evening.

The win marked a strong comeback performance, built on tactical discipline, depth across weight categories, and standout individual displays. Two-time U20 World Champion Antim Panghal once again proved decisive in the women’s 53kg bout, while heavyweight Jaspooran Singh earned the Player of the Match award. Despite the defeat, Tiigers captain Aman Sehrawat was named Fighter of the Match for his dominant individual showing.

UP Dominators captain Antim Panghal summed up the team’s approach after the match, stating that preparation and adaptability were key to the result. She highlighted the importance of collective effort, noting that every wrestler executed their role effectively regardless of the toss outcome, allowing the team to control the contest from start to finish.

The tie began with a closely contested heavyweight bout, but UP Dominators struck first through Jaspooran Singh in the 125kg category. Facing Oleksandr Khotsianivskyi, Jaspooran adopted a smart, tactical approach, staying active to earn activity points and capitalising on a crucial push-out. His composed 3–1 victory gave UP an early edge and set the tone for the evening.

That advantage was strengthened in the women’s 76kg bout, where Mansi Lather edged past Jyoti Berwal in a tight contest. Superior movement, positional awareness, and controlled aggression helped Mansi secure a narrow 2–1 win, pushing UP Dominators further ahead and increasing the pressure on the Mumbai side.

Momentum firmly swung UP’s way in the men’s 74kg category, as Abhimanyu Mandwal produced one of the most controlled performances of the night. He shut out Naveen Malik 4–0, dictating the pace of the bout and denying his opponent any meaningful scoring opportunities. The result reflected UP’s growing dominance and tactical clarity across weight classes.

The 65kg men’s bout followed a similar pattern, though it proved more competitive. Vishal Kali Raman showcased composure under pressure in a tight contest against Ali Rahimzade. With the bout finely balanced, Vishal made the crucial moves at key moments to edge a 3–2 win, extending UP Dominators’ lead to 4–0 and placing them firmly in control of the tie.

Tiigers of Mumbai Dangals finally found a spark through their captain Aman Sehrawat in the 57kg men’s bout. Displaying his class and international pedigree, Aman dominated Sagar Sharma to win by technical superiority, pulling one point back for Mumbai. His aggressive attacking style and relentless scoring earned him the Fighter of the Match award, even as his team struggled to regain momentum.

Any hopes of a sustained comeback, however, were swiftly dashed by Antim Panghal in the women’s 53kg contest. Facing Jyoti Sihag, Antim took control early before accelerating sharply in the second period. Her relentless exposure sequences overwhelmed her opponent, resulting in a technical superiority victory. The win effectively sealed the match and secured the overall tie and two league points for UP Dominators.

UP continued to build on their advantage in the remaining bouts. Nisha Dahiya delivered an emphatic performance in the women’s 62kg category, securing a fall against Olha Padoshyk and underlining UP’s strength in the women’s division. Soon after, Tapsya Gahlawat added to the tally with a comprehensive 9–0 win over Alina Filipovych in the women’s 57kg bout, further stretching the margin.

Tiigers of Mumbai Dangals closed the night with a consolation victory in the men’s 86kg category, as Mukul Dahiya defeated Mykhailov Vasyl 15–2. While the bout showcased Mumbai’s potential in the heavier weight classes, it did little to alter the overall outcome, with UP Dominators comfortably sealing a dominant 7–2 result.

Speaking after the match, Aman Sehrawat acknowledged the challenges faced by his side, noting that the pressure of an opening game and a large crowd played a role. While his individual bout went to plan, he admitted that the team fell short of its expectations and stressed the need to regroup ahead of upcoming fixtures.

The comprehensive victory positions UP Dominators strongly as the league progresses, highlighting their depth, balance, and ability to execute under pressure. Tiigers of Mumbai Dangals will look to bounce back quickly, returning to action against Maharashtra Kesari on January 18.

Meanwhile, later this evening, Delhi Dangal Warriors are set to face Haryana Thunders, as the Pro Wrestling League 2026 continues to deliver high-intensity action and compelling storylines.
