Ultimate Kho Kho League Returns on November 29 at Indira Gandhi Indoor Stadium, New Delhi
After two exhilarating seasons that redefined the sporting landscape for Kho Kho, Ultimate Kho Kho (UKK) is set to return with its most ambitious edition yet. Season 3 kicks off on November 29, 2025, at the iconic Indira Gandhi Indoor Stadium in New Delhi, introducing a new global dimension to India’s fastest-growing indigenous sports league.
For the first time, UKK will feature international players from leading Kho Kho-playing nations, marking a landmark step in the league’s journey from a domestic revival project to a globally scalable sports property. The inclusion of foreign athletes, who will participate in the upcoming player auction, is expected to unlock new talent pipelines, fan bases, and cultural connections around the world.

“Ultimate Kho Kho was conceived with a clear vision: to transform a traditional Indian sport into a structured, high-impact league with both national relevance and global ambition,” said Amit Burman, Promoter, Ultimate Kho Kho.
“From creating a professional platform for homegrown athletes to now welcoming players from across the globe, Season 3 is a defining chapter. It reflects the league’s evolution and India’s readiness to project Kho Kho onto the world stage in a scalable, credible, and sustainable way.”
With emerging sports in India witnessing a 24% growth in 2024, Ultimate Kho Kho has positioned itself as a frontrunner in the non-cricket sports entertainment space. Over its first two seasons, UKK reached a cumulative audience of 164 million, including 41 million domestic and 64 million international viewers across television and OTT platforms. On digital, UKK saw 60 million+ interactions and 225 million+ video views, making it one of the fastest-growing leagues in India.
UKK has also set new benchmarks in sports broadcasting. It became India’s first indoor league to deploy spider cam technology, delivering dynamic, cinematic coverage that enhanced both the broadcast and in-stadium viewing experience.
As the league welcomes international talent for the first time, Season 3 promises to catalyze grassroots growth, deepen talent discovery, and elevate Kho Kho’s global visibility.
“Kho Kho’s international rise is no longer aspirational—it’s happening now,” said Sudhanshu Mittal, President, Kho Kho Federation of India.
“Ultimate Kho Kho has been instrumental in building a broadcast-ready, competitive format that appeals far beyond the sport’s traditional base. With India’s recent dominance at the World Cup and the introduction of foreign players, Season 3 represents a crucial turning point. It signals Kho Kho’s arrival on the international stage.”
In a significant step towards league sustainability and professional player development, UKK will also increase the players’ purse in Season 3—an initiative aimed at encouraging young athletes to pursue Kho Kho as a viable career path.
“Ultimate Kho Kho will play a transformative role in elevating Kho Kho globally,” said Dhiraj Parasher, newly appointed CEO, Ultimate Kho Kho.
“By welcoming international players and enhancing player rewards, we’re not just scaling the spectacle—we’re investing in a cultural movement. Season 3 gives brands a unique opportunity to engage with millions of young, digital-first fans through a sport that blends speed, strategy, and emotion in a truly Indian context.”
Season 3 will once again feature six franchise teams, maintaining the league’s pan-India footprint and celebrating regional pride alongside elite athletic competition. All matches will be televised on Sony Sports Network and streamed live on SonyLIV, continuing UKK’s tradition of high-quality, multi-platform reach.
As Ultimate Kho Kho gears up for its most impactful season yet, the sport is set to enter a new era—one that’s faster, bigger, and unmistakably global.
