Thinles Angmo produced one of the standout performances of the season, scoring four goals to guide Changla Lamos into the semi-finals on the final day of the league stage in Season 3 of the Royal Enfield Ice Hockey League at the Nawang Dorjay Stobdan (NDS) Stadium.
With the league phase now complete, the semi-final line-up in both men’s and women’s categories has been confirmed, setting the stage for an intense knockout weekend.
Changla Lamos sealed their last-four berth with a dramatic 5-4 win over Humas Queens in a high-pressure encounter. Thinles opened the scoring midway through the first period with a composed tap-in, but Humas responded just before the break through Jigmet Digchen Skitla to level matters. Humas then edged ahead in the second period when captain Nuzhat Fatima found the net, shifting the momentum temporarily in their favour.
The third period, however, belonged entirely to Thinles. She equalised early with another tap-in before striking twice more in quick succession first with a precise wrist shot and then with a powerful drag shot to turn the contest decisively in Changla’s favour. Padma Yangzes added a fifth goal to give the Lamos breathing space. Nuzhat completed her brace late in the match, but Humas could not find the equaliser. The result confirmed Changla Lamos’ semi-final clash against table-toppers Sham Eagles.
In the other women’s fixture of the day, Kharu Eagles and Shakar Chiktan Queens played out a 1-1 draw. After a goalless first period, Yangchan Palmo broke the deadlock in the second with a well-taken wrist flick for Kharu. Tsewang Lhadol equalised in the third period, ensuring the Queens held on to third place while Kharu secured second spot in the standings. The semi-final will now see Kharu Eagles face Shakar Chiktan Queens, while Sham Eagles take on Changla Lamos.
In the men’s competition, the final league matches reshaped mid-table positions but left the top four unchanged. Humas Warriors, Kangs Sing, Purig Warriors and Changthang Shans retained their semi-final berths, finishing first through fourth respectively.
Shakar Chiktan Royals began the day with a narrow 5-4 victory over Changla Blasters. Hamid Khan opened the scoring early before Stanzin Namgyal equalised for the Blasters. The Royals built a cushion through Ashiq Hussain and Mohd Iqbal, but Namgyal’s persistence kept Changla within reach. Late goals from Sobir Hussain and Asgar Ali proved crucial as the Royals held off a spirited comeback attempt, in which Namgyal completed a hat-trick.

Kharu Falcons then edged Maryul Spawo 7-5 in one of the most open contests of the day, featuring five equalisers. Jigmat Choster continued his prolific form, scoring multiple times, while Rigzen Punchok sealed the win late in the third period. The Falcons’ victory lifted them to seventh in the final standings.
Sham Wolves closed their campaign emphatically with a 10-1 win over Zanskar Chadar Tamers. Clinical finishing and sustained pressure saw Sham dominate across all three periods, with multiple players contributing to a one-sided scoreline that underlined their attacking depth.
With the league phase concluded, the semi-final fixtures are set. In the men’s draw, table-toppers Humas Warriors will meet Changthang Shans, while Kangs Sing face Purig Warriors in what promises to be a tightly contested encounter between two evenly matched sides. Both Humas and Kangs finished level on 27 points, separated only by goal difference, reflecting the fine margins at the top.
The final standings underline the competitive balance of the tournament. Humas Warriors ended with nine wins from ten matches, scoring 59 goals and conceding just 14. Kangs Sing matched that win-loss record, while Purig Warriors and Changthang Shans secured qualification through consistent performances across the season.
In the women’s table, Sham Eagles finished unbeaten with four wins from four matches, conceding just two goals. Kharu Eagles claimed second place, followed by Shakar Chiktan Queens and Changla Lamos, whose late surge ensured their place in the knockouts.
