In a significant move to bolster grassroots tennis and inspire the next generation of Indian players, the Tennis Premier League (TPL), powered by Clear Premium Water, has officially announced the return of the TPL Race to Gold Masters Tournaments 2025.
The initiative, which combines competitive opportunity with national recognition, will unfold across three major zones in India bringing together emerging talents from all corners of the country.
The TPL Race to Gold Masters will kick off its journey with the North Zone leg in New Delhi on November 15 and 16, 2025, at the iconic DLTA Stadium. It will then travel west for the Gujarat leg in Ahmedabad on November 22 and 23 at the Gujarat University Tennis Stadium, before concluding with the Maharashtra leg in Mumbai on November 29 and 30 at the MSLTA Stadium.
Each leg will be organized in collaboration with the respective state tennis associations — the Delhi Lawn Tennis Association (DLTA), Haryana Tennis Association (HTA), Gujarat State Tennis Association (GSTA), and the Maharashtra State Lawn Tennis Association (MSLTA) underscoring the unified national effort to elevate Indian tennis at the grassroots level.
A Platform Built for the Future of Indian Tennis
The Race to Gold Masters tournaments aim to identify and celebrate India’s most promising young players across multiple categories U10, U12, U14 Boys & Girls, and the Men’s & Women’s Open divisions. The events will adopt TPL’s distinctive 25-point format, designed to make matches faster, more competitive, and more engaging for both players and fans.
The format, successfully implemented during previous TPL editions, emphasizes intensity, precision, and adaptability qualities that prepare players for the evolving demands of modern tennis. Beyond competition, the Race to Gold Masters also serves as a developmental bridge between junior and professional circuits, offering exposure to high-quality match play and professional-level settings.
Scholarships, Recognition, and Once-in-a-Lifetime Experiences
The champions from each zone will receive scholarships worth ₹75,000, acknowledging their excellence and commitment. But more significantly, these winners will be felicitated live on television during TPL Season 7, which will be held in Ahmedabad from December 9 to 14, 2025.

The felicitation ceremony will take place alongside India’s premier professional tennis league, giving these young champions a chance to share the stage and inspiration with global tennis stars. Winners will also have the exclusive opportunity to interact with Indian tennis legends Leander Paes and Rohan Bopanna, as well as international TPL players such as Luciano Darderi, Arthur Rinderknech, Corentin Moutet, Alexandre Muller, and India’s very own Shrivalli Bhamidipaty.
For many of these youngsters, this interaction will mark their first tangible connection with professional tennis a moment designed to ignite ambition and belief in their own journeys.
Kunal Thakkur, Co-Founder of the Tennis Premier League, highlighted the significance of the initiative:
“The Race to Gold Masters is one of our proudest projects because it directly connects grassroots tennis with the professional circuit. We’ve seen a tremendous response from young players through the TPL App, and this series gives them a structured pathway to be recognised on a national stage.”
His fellow Co-Founder, Mrunal Jain, emphasized the league’s broader mission of inclusion and inspiration:
“Our goal has always been to make tennis more accessible and aspirational across India. The TPL Masters embodies that vision by giving players from all backgrounds the chance to compete, grow, and be celebrated in front of live audiences and professional athletes.”
Indian tennis legend Leander Paes, one of the strongest advocates of the Race to Gold initiative, lauded its impact on the country’s tennis ecosystem:
“The Race to Gold Masters has become a fantastic stage for nurturing India’s next generation of tennis talent. Offering structured competition, recognition, and scholarships at this level is vital — it builds not just skill, but confidence and belief among young athletes.”
Building a Sustainable Tennis Pathway
The TPL Race to Gold Masters 2025 represents more than just a series of tournaments it is a strategic investment in India’s tennis future. By integrating technology through the TPL App, the program ensures transparent registration, live scoring, and a digital ranking system, giving young athletes a sense of professional exposure early in their careers. Since its inception, the Tennis Premier League has evolved into India’s premier tennis entertainment property, combining sport, celebrity engagement, and high-quality production to draw new audiences to tennis. The Race to Gold Masters extends that legacy by ensuring that the league’s impact trickles down to the grassroots level, where India’s next stars are born.
Looking Ahead: TPL Season 7 in Ahmedabad
The seventh season of the Tennis Premier League will return to Ahmedabad in December 2025, promising a grander scale and even stronger participation from international and domestic players. The Race to Gold Masters winners will be integrated into the festivities, symbolizing the league’s commitment to celebrating Indian talent on every level. As the countdown begins for the Delhi, Ahmedabad, and Mumbai legs of the Race to Gold Masters, India’s tennis fraternity looks forward to an inspiring month one that blends competition, opportunity, and community in equal measure.
In essence, the TPL Race to Gold Masters 2025 is not just a tournament series it is a vision in motion. A vision to make Indian tennis more inclusive, aspirational, and globally competitive, one young player at a time.
