Although Ahmedabad signed off their campaign with a win, the result wasn’t enough to keep them in playoff contention. Kolkata, on the other hand, remain in the hunt, with their fate hanging on the final two ties of the league stage. Tuesday’s outcome also confirmed playoff berths for Dempo Goa Challengers and Dabang Delhi TTC.

Drama From the First Serve
The evening opened with drama as German veteran Ricardo Walther handed Ankur Bhattacharjee his first loss of the season. Despite Ankur’s early 7–1 lead, Walther rallied to take the opening game 11–10 and followed up with an 11–5 second-game win to clinch the tie. Ankur salvaged the final game, keeping Kolkata within touching distance.
In the women’s singles, Ayhika Mukherjee struck first against Puerto Rican Olympian Adriana Diaz, but Diaz stormed back to take the next two games, including a dominant 11–1 decider, leveling the team score.
Kolkata surged ahead with a gritty win in the mixed doubles. Ankur and Diaz edged out Walther and Ayhika 2–1 in a high-octane contest, taking crucial momentum into the latter half of the tie.
