Japanese wrestling legend Yui Susaki produced a performance for the ages as Haryana Thunders registered a commanding 6–3 victory over Delhi Dangal Warriors in Match 5 of the Pro Wrestling League 2026 in Noida on Friday.
Susaki’s breathtaking technical superiority win in just 57 seconds not only anchored Haryana’s dominant outing but also established a new league record, helping her team move to the top of the points table with four points from two matches.
Susaki, a multiple-time world champion and Olympic gold medallist, was deservedly named Player of the Match for her historic performance, while Delhi’s Turan Bayramov earned the Fighter of the Match award for his spirited showing. Haryana’s collective dominance across weight categories underlined their early-season credentials as serious title contenders.
Haryana set the tone in the opening bout itself. In the 76kg women’s category, Kajal Dhochhak showed composure under pressure to edge past Anastasiya Alpyeeva 6–5 in a closely fought contest. After establishing a narrow lead, Kajal defended resolutely in the closing moments to withstand a late surge and give Haryana an early advantage.

The momentum gathered further pace in the 57kg men’s bout, where Ankush Chandram delivered a commanding display against Shubham Kaushik. Chandram asserted control from the outset, mixing aggression with tactical discipline to record a convincing 13–3 victory and double Haryana’s lead.
The defining moment of the tie followed in the 53kg women’s contest. Susaki was relentless from the opening whistle, overwhelming Saarika with rapid takedowns and exposure sequences. Racing to a 16–0 lead in just 57 seconds, she sealed the bout by technical superiority, drawing loud applause and firmly putting Haryana in command at 3–0.

Haryana’s dominance continued in the heavyweight men’s category. Anirudh Gulia outwrestled Ronak with authority, combining activity, clean takedowns and turns to register a comprehensive 13–0 shutout. At that stage, Haryana had complete control of the contest.
The match was effectively sealed in the 57kg women’s bout as Neha Sangwan produced another ruthless performance. Sangwan overwhelmed Canada’s Karla Godinez Gonzalez with sustained attacking pressure, securing a technical superiority win and Haryana’s fifth bout victory, which confirmed the full two match points.
Delhi finally found a response in the 65kg men’s category. Team captain Sujeet Kalkal displayed composure and tactical awareness against Tumur Ochir Tulga. After conceding an early activity point, Kalkal turned the bout around in the second period, drawing successive activity points to edge a narrow 2–1 win and put Delhi on the scoreboard.
Any hopes of a late revival were quickly shut down in the 62kg women’s contest. Iryna Koliadenko controlled proceedings throughout against Anjli, dominating with superior positioning and scoring opportunities to record a commanding 13–0 victory and restore Haryana’s firm grip on the tie.

Delhi added further respectability to the scoreline in the 74kg men’s bout, where Turan Bayramov stayed on the front foot throughout to defeat Parvinder 8–1. The final bout of the evening, in the 86kg men’s category, was decided without contest, with Delhi awarded the win following a forfeit by Haryana.
With a comprehensive 6–3 victory, Haryana Thunders now sit atop the PWL 2026 standings with four points, driven by depth across categories and a record-breaking performance from their captain. As the league progresses, Haryana’s balance and consistency have already set them apart as one of the teams to beat.
