Delhi Dangal Warriors produced a composed, all-round performance to defeat Tiigers of Mumbai Dangals 6–3 in Match 13 of the Pro Wrestling League (PWL) 2026 at the Noida Indoor Stadium, keeping their semi-final aspirations firmly alive.
The victory yielded two crucial match points for Delhi, lifting them to four points from four ties and placing them fifth in the standings with one league match still to play.
Delhi’s success was built on depth and discipline across weight categories, with wins coming from Turan Bayramov, Anjli, Anastasiya Alpyeeva, Karla Godinez Gonzalez, captain Sujeet Kalkal, and heavyweight Ronak. For Tiigers of Mumbai Dangals, isolated victories from Jyoti Sihag and Mukul Dahiya, along with a forfeit win in the final bout, proved insufficient as the franchise concluded its PWL 2026 campaign without a team win. Delhi’s Anastasiya Alpyeeva was named Player of the Match for her emphatic fall, while Mumbai’s Jyoti Sihag earned Fighter of the Match honours for her spirited comeback in the women’s 53kg bout.
Early control sets the tone
The tie began with a tight, tactical 74kg men’s contest where Bayramov edged past Deepak 4–3. After conceding a late activity point in the opening period, Bayramov tightened his grip in the second, scoring via push-outs and sealing the bout with another decisive push-out during the Power Minute. It was a statement of control that set the tone for Delhi’s evening.

Momentum gathered pace in the 62kg women’s bout as Anjli delivered one of the most attacking performances of the tie. She defeated Olha Padoshyk 19–10, punctuating her dominance with two four-point throws in the Power Minute to double Delhi’s lead. The advantage widened swiftly in the 76kg women’s category. After Jyoti Berwal drew first blood with an activity point, Alpyeeva responded with authority—scoring a takedown, an exposure, and then transitioning seamlessly into a fall. The result put Delhi 3–0 ahead and firmly in command.
Relentless middle-order surge
Karla Godinez Gonzalez continued Delhi’s surge in the 57kg women’s contest, controlling Pushpa from start to finish. Godinez dictated centre-mat positions, managed transitions cleanly, and capped the bout with a four-point takedown in the Power Minute to secure a 9–1 win.
Captain Sujeet Kalkal ensured there was no let-up in the 65kg men’s bout. Facing Ali Rahimzade, Kalkal asserted dominance early through consistent takedowns and superior mat control. He added further points in the second period to close out a confident 9–2 victory, stretching Delhi’s lead to an imposing 5–0.

Tiigers of Mumbai Dangals finally found traction in the 53kg women’s bout. Jyoti Sihag absorbed early pressure from Saarika before turning the contest with stronger second-period offence. A decisive Power Minute takedown swung the bout in her favour, earning Mumbai a 12–9 win and a measure of consolation.
Momentum briefly shifted further towards Mumbai in the 86kg men’s contest, where Mukul Dahiya outlasted Vafaeipour Hadi Bakhtiar 8–5. Dahiya held firm during a late Power Minute surge to reduce the deficit to 5–2 and keep the tie mathematically alive.
Any hopes of a dramatic turnaround were extinguished in the heavyweight 125kg bout. Ronak and Rajat Ruhal engaged in a low-scoring tactical battle, with Ronak regaining the lead through an activity point before managing the clock astutely to secure a narrow 3–2 win and clinch the tie for Delhi. The final contest ended in a forfeit victory for Tiigers of Mumbai Dangals, bringing the match to a close at 6–3.
Standings implications and what lies ahead
The result keeps Delhi Dangal Warriors firmly in the semi-final conversation, with their balanced roster and ability to close out bouts under pressure standing out at a decisive stage of the league. For Tiigers of Mumbai Dangals, the campaign ends in disappointment despite flashes of individual quality across categories.
Action continues in PWL 2026 on Matchday 12, with UP Dominators taking on Haryana Thunders. The contest will be broadcast live from 8:00 PM on Sony Sports Ten 4 and Ten 5, with streaming available on Sony LIV.
