Mouma continues to be in limelight, enters semis

Mouma Das continued her comeback rampage and beat Anusha Kutumbale 4-2 to enter the semi-finals of the 83rd Senior National and Inter-State Table Tennis Championships at the SAI Indoor Stadium

The veteran felled yet another youngster, this time from MP. Mouma will take on tomorrow her teammate Reeth Rishya. The PSPB woman thrashed Takeme Sarkar of the Railways 4-0.

In the other quarterfinals, Sreeja Akula defeated Swastika Ghosh 4-0 and will clash with RBI teammate Ayhika Mukherjee, who downed Moumita Dutta 4-1.

In the men’s quarterfinals, both the top two seeds, A. Sharath Kamal and G. Sathiyan entered the semifinals, beating Sourav Saha and Manav Thakkar, respectively.

Both won with identical margins of victories. In the other quarterfinals, Sanil Shetty defeated Anirban Ghosh 4-0 and Manush Shah downed Soumyajit Ghosh, also by the same margin.
