12:15am | Jeswin Aldrin jumps a 7.54m in his second jump to be placed 18th currently.
11:55pm | Jeswin has started with a foul.
11:53pm | Chanda has run a fabulous race, coming from behind she has finished second clocking 2:02.05 to enter Final of 800m race.
11:45pm | Amandeep started well but lost the steam in the later half, she finished 7th with a time of 2:04.84 , next up Chanda
11:10pm | There were three Indian runners in the 10,000m race but the best placed was Kiran with a 29:49.90 for a 17th place while Abhishek 33:46.77 was 26th and Trilok with a timing of 36:00.27 was 27th.
10:15pm | With a best attempt of 7.63m David is at 7th place, will need to see how the Group B goes, top12 goes in
10:00pm | David does 7.55m in the second attempt, will need to be around 7.7 or 7.8 for a safer space to Finals spot
9:45pm | David starts with a 7.63m which is a good start and only upwards from here
9:15pm | Up next we have Long Jump for Men and two Indian hope David & Jeswin in action in there, David starts at 9:30pm
9:05pm | Basanti lost her match to Japanese Archer 1-7 despite shooting consistent 27s but the Japanese was a bit better. But we have an All Indian Semifinal in Compound Men Individual Match as Kushal & Sahil have made it to the Semifinal. In Quarterfinal Sahil defeated Finlay from GBR 146-142 while Kushal had yet another great score 148-146 against home hope Fluss
8:55pm | Wow we have a win in Beach Volleyball as Kanimozhi & Gowshika have defeated the Azerbaijan pair 2-0. Darshan also has made it to the Rd32 by winning 15-6, 12-15, 15-6 against Shaikh from KSA.
8:45pm | Basanti has stormed into the Quarterfinals as she defeats American Catalina 6-2 and both the Indian Compound Archers have made it to the Quarters. Sahil defeated Brenk 148-147 while Kushal had to go through Tie-Breaker against Yunus from Turkey 10-9 after both scored 148. In Badminton Darshan is now into the decider as after winning the first one 15-6, he lost the second one 12-15
8:20pm | And Aditi makes it to the Rd32 in style defeats Odijk 15-10, 15-7, Rohan has also made it to the Rd32 as he wins 15-9, 15-10, Darshan will start his match soon in the Men’s Singles Round of 64 against Saudi Arabian opponent.
8:10pm | Aditi has won the first game 15-10, can she close in straight games. Rohan wins the first game 15-9 against Chi and it looks like it will be one way traffic
8:05pm | Basanti survived a scare, she shot a 5 when a 7 must have sealed the match but she held her nerve and defeated the Malaysian Syaqiera 6-4 in the Recurve Women while in the Compound Men Hritik lost to his opponent from France 143-146 Francois while Sahil got better of Taiwanese archer Jin 145-143 and Kushal sailed to next round against Victor 148-147.
7:45pm | Aditi is in action in the Women’s Singles Round of 64 against dutch player Odijk while Rohan is up against opponent from Macau China and he will look to close it in straight games.
7:30pm | Archery Results in Recurve Women Basanti has scored a comfortable victory over Argentine Irene but it was end of singles campaign for Bhajan who lost 3-7 to Megan from AUS and Aditi who lost to Regina from GER 4-6. Hritik scored a comfortable 146-140 victory over Turner from America while Kushal & Sahil had byes for this round in the Compound Men
7:15pm | India lost to Chinese Taipei 77-102 in the classification match 9-16 and now will play 13-16.
6:00pm | Indian Men Team are against Chinese Taipei for a classification match in Basketball 5×5. The Controversy are not getting stopped. Now Devyaniba Zala, India’s u23 400m record holder, couldn’t take part in the final moments of the World University Games in Germany, all due to late alterations by officials to submit confirmation.
5:20pm | Sawan could only throw a 17.03m in his last attempt and that will not be enough to take him to the Finals, but you have Samardeep who threw a 19.10 to grab his place in the finals as fourth best overall. In the Mixed Team event in Taekwondo India lost to home country Germany 0-2 in Quarterfinal and the campaign in Taekwondo is done for the day. Samardeep’s season best is 19.38m and lifetime best stands at 19.68m (2024)
5:00pm | Saneeth wins 15-8, 15-13 against Lukasz of Poland where he faces another polish player Wilcjak to get a place in the PreQF
4:55pm | And finally we have a win in Taekwondo after Men & Women team lost in first rounds to Poland and Ukraine respectively the mixed team has defeated Romania in Mixed Team Kyurogi. Now if you are wondering what is Kyurogi It’s the dynamic and competitive aspect of Taekwondo where two competitors engage in a controlled fight to score points using precise kicks and punches.
4:45pm | Manikanta finished with a timing of 21.42 Time Behind for a fourth place and wont make the Semifinal in the 200m race. In heptathlon Pooja has jumped her season best to amass 867 points while Tanushree could manage only 1.62 for 759 points. Saneeth is on court against a Polish shuttler in the Men’s Singles Round of 64
4:28pm | And Vaishnavi/ Atharva lost to Japanese pair 0-6, 5-7 in the Mixed Doubles Quarterfinal. Indian Basketball team has lost to Romania 58-109, this was a classification match for 13-16.
4:15pm | Animesh Kujur in the qualification heat of men’s 200m as the Indian NR holder cruises to the finish line with a timing of 21.16s (wind: -0.2) in what one would call his 2nd gear only and wins the heat! Brilliant run Animesh. In Tennis its now 5-6 with Indians to serve to stay in the match, can they?
4:05pm | Parneet has qualified for the Semifinal, and guess what who she has for company, Three South Koreans in Women Compound
4:00pm | Parneet takes a good three point lead as she now has 115-112 but Avneet trails by three points 113-116.
3:55pm | At the end of three rounds its still locked at 85-85 for Praneet while Avneet has bought down the gap to 1 points as she trails now 86-87. Sanya has qualified for the finals of the discuss throw women as she finished 9th of the top12.
3:50pm | Parneet & Alyssia are locked at 56-56 at the moment, while Avneet trails 56-59 that lead could prove costly. Priya registered a best throw of 48.25 which placed her 14th in the rankings, hence missing the Finals
3:45pm | Archery Quarterfinals are underway in the Women Compound and Avneet & Parneet in action
3:40pm | And Angelsilvia has qualified for the semifinals as the fastest loser, the semifinals are scheduled for tomorrow. In the Mixed Doubles Quarterfinal Tennis its been a tough outing so far for the Indian team of Vaishnavi & Atharva as they lost the first set 0-6
3:35pm | Defending champion Avneet get better compatriot Madhura 145-142 while top seed Parneet defeated Low from SGP 148-144 to enter the Quarterfinals. The Quarterfinals are scheduled for today.
3:25pm | Angelsilvia clocked 24.01 over 200m to be placed 4th in her heat, she will need to wait to see if she makes it as the fastest q
3:10pm | Sonia in the 200m race clocked 24.84 to finish 6th in her heat, with six heats in it its unlikely she will make the Semifinals as First 3 in each heat (Q) and the next 6 fastest (q) advance to the Semi-Final
3:00pm | Indian campaign in the Recurve Men Individual Ends in Rd32 as Aryan lost to Japanese archer 2-6. But all the three Indian Women have made it to the Pre-QF by the barest of the margins, Madhura won 143-142 against Elisa, Parneet won 146-145 against Aizhan from Kazakhstan & Avneet won 145-144 against Hazal from Turkey
2:40pm | In the 110m Hurdles Rahil got Disqualified and as we know Tejas is nursing an injury hence he is not in Germany, thats an end of the campaign for India in 110m Hurdles.
2:25pm | Sanya throws here personal best 51.21, in discuss throw to be placed at fifth, she will have to wait till the GroupB which starts at 3:12pm finishes. The other group has Priya from India as well. Can one of them make it to Final, or can both of them.
2:20pm | And Vishnu has lost a recurve match to Abdullah from Turkey 4-6 and Mrinal lost to Berkin from Turkey 2-6 which makes only Aryan who defeated Azerbaijan archer Aliyev in 1/24 6-4. In the compound Archery Avneet, who is the defending champion has defeated Lara 144-139.
2:05pm | Sanya has thrown the discuss throw in Athletics to 48.26m in her first attempt. In the Swimming Men’s 4x100m Medley Relay Indian team finished 15th and missed the Finals
2:00pm | Indian team in the Men’s 4x100m Medley Relay finished in 3:42.95 just behind South Africa, the team has Srihari, Vidith, Rohit & Jashua. They are unlikely to make the finals though as that was in H2 with two more heats to go.
1:50pm | Devika has defeated her Nigerian opponent 15-4, 15-4 in Women’s Singles Round of 64 Badminton
1:40pm | Indian Women’s 4x100m Medley Relay team finished last with a timing of 4:35.31, the team had Pratyasa, Naga, Nilabjaa & Nina.
1:35pm | Next up we have Archery Compound Individual matches wherein Madhura & Parneet have got a bye while Avneet will be up against Lara Croatia at 1:52pm. Pooja grabbed 846 points with a 14.97 mark in 100m Hurdles while Tanushree had a 15.53 for a 773 points
1:30pm | We have an early start today for the Athletics event and we have two athletes in Heptathlon, Pooja & Tanushree. They will be in action in 100m Hurdles. In the Men’s 400m Individual Medley Shoan finished 18th while Anurag was 25th with 8 swimmers making the Final.
1:10pm | In the Men’s 400m Individual Medley Shoan clocked 4:33.56 Time Behind while Anurag clocked 4:54.02, Aryan Rana has defeated Adrian 6-4 to make the next round
1:00pm | In Taekwondo, Ukraine defeated India 2-0 in the Women Team Kyorugi Round of 32
12:55pm | Mrinal has defeted Ian from Guatemala 7-1 while Vishnu has defeated Connor 7-1
12:40pm | Now we have Archery matches, there are three Men Recurve 1/48 matches and hopefully no surprises there. In Swimming Women’s 400m Freestyle Bhavya clocked 4:28.27 for a 28th place while Ashmita clocked 4:40.27 for a 35th spot.
