1:15am | Animesh is his 200m Finals has finished Fourth with a time of 20.85, he started from the first lane and a lot of times that can be challenging.
1:00am | Samardeep has three fouls in the last three attempts, thats sad. He will finish sixth.
12:28am | Chanda in action now in the 800m, and she finished last.
12:10am | Samardeep improves to 19.16m but he stays at 5th in the Men Shot Put. In the Women’s Doubles Round of 16 Indian pair of Aditi & Devika have entered Quarterfinals as they defeated Dutch pair of Odijk & Van in straight games 15-5, 15-11
12:05am | Indian team finishes 4th in the Mixed 4×400 race with a time of 3:18.40. Samardeep goes in at 18.53m
11:05pm | Animesh makes it to the final as the eight fastest man, he is much better than this and maybe the energy could have cost him a berth in the Final, he was just 0.004 seconds behind the automatic spot for the final.
10:58pm | Animesh finishes 20.937 for a third place and will now have to see if the third heat is not too fast. NERVOUS WAIT. Devika has won her match and moved into the Quarterfinals as her opponent Lee from South Korea retired midway in the match 15-10, 10-0. She now faces Malaysian Wong in the QF tomorrow.
10:45pm | Soon Animesh in action at 10:54pm in the 200m Semifinal heat. Aditi has lost to Tidapron in Women’s Singles Round of 16 8-15, 11-15
10:40pm | Mariya AngelSilvia clocked 24.56 for a sixth place finish, she wont make the Finals of the 200m. In Badminton Darshan Pujari lost to Rei 15-17, 5-15 in Men’s Singles Round of 16
10:20pm | In Women Discuss Throw, Sanya couldn’t improve on her 49.88m attempt and she finishes at 10th place
9:50pm | Sanya improves but only marginally to 49.88m to be at 9th currently. In Badminton Men’s Singles Round of 16 Saneeth lost to Enogat in straight games 13-15, 13-15

9:35pm | Update on David | David Solomon to miss the Men’s Long Jump Final at World University Games 2025! India’s only long jumper to qualify for the final, David Solomon, will miss the event due to high fever and diarrhea.
9:30pm | Sanya throws the Discuss to 49.82m in her first attempt, there are 11 athletes and 8 will get six throws. Rohan has lost to Mathias in Men’s Singles Round of 16 and its an end of campaign for him, lost 15-7, 16-18, 9-15
9:15pm | India’s 4x400m Mixed Relay Final Tonight at 12:00 AM! Team India, who stunned the USA and finished 2nd in Heat 1 with 3:19.21s, will be back on track for the Finals at the World University Games 2025! Final Lineup:

8:40pm | And the Mixed team of Parneet & Kushal have defeated the Chinese Taipei 158-151, it was never a contest actually , we play South Korea for the Gold. In a surprising result, South Korea was defeated by Japan in the Recurve Mixed Team Semifinal
8:25pm | A Big evening for Indian Athletics is coming up at the World University Games 2025 Sanya Yadav in W Discuss Throw final at 9:18pm then David P in men’s long jump final at 9:48pm then Animesh Kujur (10:54pm) & Maria Angel Silvia (10:26pm ) in200m semis followed by Samardeep Singh Gill in Shot Put final at 11:56pm
Chanda in W 800m final at 00:28am followed by Mixed relay 4*400 at 00:00am and then if the 200m athletes qualify then 00:55 is the women Final and 01:10am is the men Final
8:20pm | Its a Bronze Medal after a grueling three sets, Vaishnavi lost 6-2, 4-6, 4-6 to win India’s first ever Women Tennis Medal at World University Games
8:15pm | Indian Compound Mixed Team has made it to the Semifinal defeating USA 158-157 and what a comeback after midway when they were down by a point to have near perfect series, we now play Chinese Taipei for a place in Final.
8:10pm | Its 4-4 each now and it can tilt any side now in the Tennis Semifinal
7:45pm | And its 3-3 now in the Tennis match, its getting tense. India lost to Italy in the Mixed Recurve Archery 0-6 as we scored 36, 34, 36 while Italy went upto 38, 37, 37. However in the Compound Archery we have scored a comfortable win over SGP 158-153 and we will now face USA in the Quarterfinals
7:15pm | Its 1-1 in the tennis semis and we are into the deciding set for the Final as she lost the second set 4-6, can Vaishnavi hold her nerve. In the Men’s Singles Round of 32 match Rohan defeated Kian from Germany in straight games 15-9, 15-8 to enter the Rd16 to be played later today.
6:50pm | Vaishnavi has broken back and we are now at 4-4 can she make it in straight sets. In Badminton Darshan has defeated Eliel from Finland in straight games 15-11, 15-13
6:30pm | Indian Mixed Team Recurve team got better of San Marino 6-0 to set up a Quarterfinal clash with Italy, while the compound team will play the winner of Singapore & Romania
6:00pm | In the all important Semifinal Vaishnavi Adkar has won the first set quite comfortably 6-2 against Eszter from Slovakia, can she make it to the Final and create history. Vaishnavi has had 91% first serve but she could only convert one of the five break point opportunities in the first set
5:45pm | And Moumita has moved in as 19th fastest to the 100mH semifinal slated tomorrow. In the Badminton Men’s Singles Round of 32 Saneeth has defeated Polish shuttler in straight games 15-4, 15-2, he awaits the winner of the French & Ukraine match and will play the Rd16 match in the evening today.
5:30pm | Moumita in the 100m H has clocked a 13.37 to finish sixth in her heat, she will have to wait till all the heats finish as six q will move into the Semifinal
5:15pm | The all important Semifinal in Women Single is about to get underway in some time. Indian Men lost to Argentina 52-79 and now will play for the 15-16 match in a bid to not finish last.
4:25pm | In Badminton Women’s Singles Round of 32 Devika got better of Slovakian oppenent Olivia 15-8, 15-10. Indian Men Basketball is playing Argentina and are struggling in the 13-16 placing
4:16pm | So, INDIA HAS QUALIFIED FOR THE 4X400 Mixed Relay FINAL the team of Jerome, Rupal, Vishal TK & Devyaniba have finished second with a time of 3:19.21. In Badminton Women’s Singles Round of 32 Aditi won against the SGP Oppenent 15-6, 15-6
4:05pm | Next up for India is the 4x400m Relay heat, and there is absolutely no information about start list. In the Mixed Doubles Round of 32 Sathish & Vaishnavi retired mid way through the match against Malaysian
3:55pm | Kiran Mhatre has finished the 5000m race in 14:41.49 which was a slower race in comparison the H1 but has finished second so he Qualifies for the Final. In the Mixed Doubles Round of 32 Viraj & Alisha lost to the German pairs in tight three games, they lost to Jonathan & Thuc 15-13, 8-15, 9-15
3:50pm | Indian Men Compound Team has Entered Final, they have defeated Chinese Taipei 235-233 and will now face Turkey in the Gold Medal Match, while women lost to USA 230-233 and will now play for Bronze against Great Britain. Vanshika Ghanghas failed to cross 3.70m and hence it will be end of competition for her in Pole Vault Qualifying as many others have breached that mark
3:31pm | Sahil has qualified for the Men javelin final with a 71.60m throw. In the 5000m Gagan Singh clocked 14:22.20 to finish 11th in his heat. Indian Pole Vaulter Sindhushree failed to cross past 3.50m and hence there was no mark to her name
3:20pm | So, both the Recurve Teams are out in Quarterfinal, but both the Compound Teams are in Semifinal. Indian Recurve Men Team lost to Chinese Taipei 3-5 while Women Recurve lost 1-5. In Compound Indian Men Compound Team defeated USA 236-229 while Women won against Italy 232 -226. South Korean Women Archery Team is out in Quarterfinals
3:10pm | Indian Women have lost to Chinese Taipei 1-5 and they will play China in the Semifinal while Men are locked at 3-3 with Chinese Taipei in Recurve Men Team. Compound Men are at 177-172 against USA while compound Women are 176-170 against Italy
3:05pm | Indian Recurve Men Team are 2-2 against Chinese Taipei while Women are 1-3 against CT Women. Compound Teams going strong with a 4+ point lead
2:55pm | Seema has qualified for the Final of 5000m race with third place finish in H1 on a timing of 15:55.33 while Sanjana couldnt with a time of 17:04.21. Sahil has thrown a 71.60m and is currently on 10th place in the Men Javelin Qualifying.
2:35pm | So then, 10 minutes to go and we have Four QF Matches in Archery. Recurve Men & Women Team vs Chinese Taipei while Compound Men go against USA while Women vs Italy.
2:20pm | All Four Indian Teams are into Quarterfinals, Now that is a news how many can make the Semifinals at the World University Games 2025.
2:10pm | Indian Women Recurve Team have won the first two sets against Turkey 54-48, 55-51
1:46pm | Its been a disappointing performance by Sagar who could not even touch 70m, with the Javelin Revolution in India this is not a good sign. In 3000m SC race Sunil finished last in his heat with a time of 9:08.37
1:40pm | So Three Indian Teams have reached the Quarterfinals, Indian Men + Women Compound ( bye ) & they are joined by Indian Men Recurve can the Indian Women Recurve also join.
1:36pm | And India escapes an exit, we shoot 55 to USA 55 and Indian Men Recurve Team sail through to the Quarterfinals where we face Chinese Taipei. We defeat USA 5-3
1:30pm | India won the second set but lost the third one, hope they dont take it to the shootoff, As expected South Korea, Japan & China have made it 6-0 and into the Quarterfinals
1:20pm | Indian Men Archery Recurve Team is up against USA for a place in Quarterfinal, and they have won the first set 54-51. The team is Mrinal, Vishnu & Aryan. Women Compound have a bye for this round thanks to their seeding two during the ranking rounds
1:10pm | Sagar Started with a pretty average throw of 69.63m, he will have to do much better in case he wants to have a chance to qualify for the Finals.
1:05pm | First up will be Javelin Throw for Men Q and we have Sagar in GroupA and a Qualifying performance 80.50 (Q) or at least 12 best performers (q) advance to the Final
