7:30pm | India win GOLD medal in Women’s 4X400m Relay at Asian Athletics Championships. Quartet of Jisna, Rupal, Rajitha & Subha clocked 3:34.18 to win Gold medal in Women’s 4X400m Relay.
7:15pm | Samardeep Singh finishes 6th in Men’s Shotput at Asian Athletics Championships with best attempt of 19.25m. Defending Shotput Champion Tajinderpal Singh Toor was not selected in the squad due to poor form! Gold at 20.32 & Bronze at 19.92. Seema finishes fourth with a best attempt of 56.15 with Gold to China at 61.90m
7:05pm | Sarvesh clears 2.19m in second attempt in Men High Jump while Seema is at 56.15m in Discuss and is at 4th place currently & Samardeep is struggling at 19.25 at 6th place. In the Long jump Ancy is at second with 6.33m and Shaili at third with 6.30m. Off to Women 4×400 relays
6:55pm | India’s Hurdle Queen brings home 🇮🇳 India’s 4th Gold at #AsianAthleticsChampionships2025 by winning the 100m Women’s Hurdles in a stunning 12.96s, shattering the Championship Record! What performance by defending champ, who wasnt just running for title defense but also for an unparalleled legacy against more fancied opponents in 100mH!

6:35pm | In the shotput Samardeep has thrown 18.76m in his first attempt and is at 4th place currently while in High Jump Sarvesh has cleared 2.10 and is now attempting 2.15m missing the first attempt
6:15pm | Its an easy Gold for Avinash Sable who clocked a season best of 8:20.92m to claim gold ahead Niinae who had 8:24.41. Gold Medal no3 for India. India last had a gold in this event back in 1989 when Dina Ram won in 8:48.16. Avinash Sable becomes only the third Indian 🇮🇳, after Gopal Singh Saini and Anokh Singh, to win multiple steeplechase medals at the Asian Championships — and the first to strike Gold 🥇 in 36 years.
6:00pm | Avinash Sable in action now in 3000SC, he is by far the best in the competition with only Yutaro from Japan and Sasaki sub 8:30 racers
5:45pm | Here is the medal tally for top5. At the last championships Japan had won 16 Gold Medals while China could manage only 8 Gold. India was third with 6 Gold, we have now 2 can we better that number
5:30pm | Good news guys. Rains seems to have stopped and we are in.
4:25pm | Sumire Hata of Japan could pose a threat to India’s gold medal hopes in the women’s long jump final. She previously beat India’s Shaili Singh at the Asian Championships with a personal best of 6.97m. Although not in peak form this season, Hata led the qualifiers with a 6.35m jump and has a season-best of 6.47m. Meanwhile, Shaili Singh leads Asia in 2025 with 6.64m, and fellow Indian Ancy Sojan is ranked fourth with 6.54m. The final is about to begin.
4:05pm | It seems its still raining. Indian contingent has earned 8 medals, including 2 gold in the opening 2 days of Asian Athletics Championships in Gumi. The medal tally will swell today as there are more than Eight finals in evening session.

4:00pm | China and Sri Lanka were disqualified from the Mixed 4x400m relay at the 2025 Asian Athletics Championships in Gumi, South Korea, likely due to technical fouls like lane infringement or baton exchange errors, though specific reasons are not publicly confirmed. India won gold (3:18.12s), Kazakhstan received silver, and Korea got bronze after the reallocation. The lack of detailed reporting leaves some uncertainty about the exact cause
10:25am | Asian Athletics championships 2025: Agasara Nandini registers a best throw of 13.54m to take her total up to 2631 in Heptathlon.. The highest Day 1 total for India is in the name of JJ Shobha (NR holder) which is 3598.. Nandini needs 24.13s in 200m to beat that!
8:00am | Nandini has now crossed 1.66m and continues to be in the lead group. and she managed a 1.69m high jump.
7:50am | In Heptathlon Nandini has been with the group and cleared 1.63m like five other competitors.

7:45am | China leads while India is being chased by Korea for the second spot in Men 4x400m, its now very close between India & China and India Takes the lead in the last exchange. India Leads and looks like we will finish first 3:06.28 Not very fast timings but we will take this as its a heat. India Enters Final
7:30am | Next up we have 4×400 Men Heat 1, India runs with Qatar, South Korea, China & Singapore. Indian Quartet is Rince Joseph, Dharamveer, Manu T & Mohit Kumar
7:20am | Men Long Jump is underway & No Indian Participant in that is very surprising.
7:25am | The 10,000m race is won by Jepkemei from KAZ and followed by two Japanese runners to complete the podium, Sanjivani clocks her Season best of 33:08.17 to finish 5th while Seema was 6th
7:15am | Women 10,000m race is going on which was abruptly stopped due to heavy rains. India has Sanjivani & Seema participating and they are quite far from the lead pack
6:35am | Asian Athletics championships 2025: Good start for Agasara Nandini in the Heptathlon as she clocked a solid 13.67s (wind: -1.4 m/s) to earn 1026 points from 100mH, the first event of Heptathlon.. Up next is the High Jump.
