Jain University, Chandigarh University, KIIT, and Christ University finished among the standout institutions, with several swimmers producing national-level timings and asserting their class across strokes and distances.
Bhavya Sachdeva Leads From the Front in the 400m IM
Jain University’s Bhavya Sachdeva delivered one of the most commanding swims of the day in the women’s 400m Individual Medley, taking gold in 5:27.72. Sachdeva showcased impressive versatility across all four strokes, pulling ahead decisively in the breaststroke leg and sealing a comfortable victory. The silver medal went to Kalyani Saxena (Sarvajanik University), who clocked 5:34.46, while Bhavya’s teammate A. Jedidah (Jain University) completed the podium in 5:48.92, giving Jain Uni an early boost in overall standings.
Utkal University’s Pratyasa Ray Wins 200m Backstroke Gold
In the 200m backstroke, Pratyasa Ray (Utkal University) delivered a smooth and controlled swim to clinch gold with a timing of 2:29.51. Ray maintained consistent splits throughout, warding off a late push from Shrungi Bandekar (Jain University), who claimed silver in 2:30.80.
The bronze was secured by Bhakti Wadkar (Savitribai Phule Pune University) in 2:31.91, rounding off a closely contested final.
KIIT Goes 1–2 in Women’s 50m Breaststroke
KIIT University swept the top two positions in the 50m breaststroke, with Rithvika M timing 34.95 to take gold, followed closely by teammate Diyanka Dibyajot, who finished in 35.85. Yashvi Kharat (HSNC University) clinched bronze with a sharp 36.11, holding off a spirited challenge from the rest of the field.
Nina Venkatesh Continues Jain University’s Medal Flow
Jain University’s sprint queen Nina Venkatesh produced a stellar performance in the 50m butterfly, winning gold in 28.40. Her explosive start and efficient stroke rate helped her build a lead that proved unassailable.
Naisha Shetty (Bengaluru City University) took silver in 29.40, while Nilabjaa Ghosh (KIIT) touched in 29.83 for bronze.
Jain University Clinches Women’s 4×100 Freestyle Relay
Jain University topped the podium again, winning the 4x100m freestyle relay in an impressive 4:12.50, showcasing their depth in sprint and middle-distance freestyle.
Chandigarh University secured silver (4:21.19), and Panjab University earned bronze (4:28.26).

Aneesh Gowda Wins 1500m Freestyle in a Nail-Biter
The men’s 1500m freestyle delivered one of the closest finishes of the day. Aneesh Gowda (Christ University) held off a late charge to win gold in 16:37.66, edging out Shivank Vishwanath (Visvesvaraya Technological University), who clocked 16:38.39 less than a second behind.

Anvesh Singh (Barkatullah University) claimed bronze at 17:12.36, rounding out a physically demanding event.
Harsh Saroha Claims Double Gold for Chandigarh University
Chandigarh University’s Harsh Saroha emerged as one of the biggest stars of the day. He clinched the 200m butterfly gold in 2:06.88 before adding the 50m butterfly title with a scorching 24.90, underlining his skill across both endurance and sprint formats. In the 200m butterfly, Shoan Ganguly (Jain University) won silver in 2:10.42, with teammate Shubhrant Patra taking bronze (2:11.41).
In the 50m fly, Srihari Nataraj (Jain University) claimed silver in 25.30, while Salil Bhagavat (SPPU) secured bronze with 25.95.
Ishan Rathi Wins Men’s 200m Backstroke
Ishan Rathi (Chandigarh University) continued his institution’s strong run with gold in the 200m backstroke, timing 2:13.51. Jatin BB (Visvesvaraya University) followed with silver (2:15.40), and Shoan Ganguly (Jain University) added another medal to his tally with bronze (2:16.97).
Reva University Takes Gold in 50m Breaststroke
In the men’s 50m breaststroke, Vidith Shankar (Reva University) powered to gold in 29.28, showcasing explosive speed off the blocks. Aaryan Ganesh (Jain University) collected silver (30.10), while Yash Gulhane (Rashtrasant Tukdoji Maharaj University) earned bronze (30.49).
Jain University closed the day in style, clinching the men’s 4x100m freestyle relay gold in 3:37.15, reaffirming their dominance in relay events. Lovely Professional University secured silver (3:40.84), and University of Madras captured bronze (3:41.19).
