The ISSF World Cup Munich, Germany continues to serve up top-tier shooting action, with Indian shooters fighting hard to make their mark among the world’s best.
As Day 3 kicks off today, India fields strong contenders across multiple rifle and pistol events. Before diving into today’s schedule, here’s a quick look back at how Day 2 unfolded, featuring finals appearances, near-misses, and some heartbreaks for Indian fans.
Day 2 Highlights: Fighting Spirit, Mixed Fortunes
Manu Bhaker’s Final Finish
The day ended with India’s ace shooter Manu Bhaker finishing 6th in the 25m Pistol Final, after a strong start in the initial series. Manu had qualified for the final by scoring 588-23x, placing 5th in the qualifiers. The final saw her begin steadily, going 4/5 in her first series, followed by 4/5 again in the second. But in the third series, she faltered slightly with only 3/5, and her comeback was cut short with just 2 hits in her fourth series, eventually ending her run.

Esha Singh, another promising talent, narrowly missed the final cut by just one point, shooting 585 to place 11th. Other Indian scores in this event were:
- Brar: 577 (32nd)
- Rahi: 576 (40th)
- TS Divya: 580 (20th)
Chain Singh Shines in 50m Rifle 3 Positions
Veteran shooter Chain Singh gave Indian fans much to cheer about in the 50m Rifle 3 Positions event. He shot an excellent 592-33x in qualification to finish 7th and advance to the final. His performance included a stunning 200 in standing, showing immense composure under pressure.
In the final, Chain started decently and held his ground with a consistent prone round (156.2) and a solid kneeling series. However, his standing series saw a dip, and he eventually had to settle for a respectable 7th place finish — a commendable effort against a world-class field.
Other Indian results:
- Swapnil Kusale: 587 (38th) – missed final qualification.
- Kiran Jadhav: 580 (67th) – struggled in prone and standing.
Women’s 50m Rifle 3P: Ashi Stands Tall
A shining performance came from Ashi Chouksey, who shot an incredible 200 in the standing series, finishing with a total of 591-29x — placing her 2nd overall in elimination.
Meanwhile, Anjum Moudgil, competing under the RPO (Ranking Points Only) tag, also impressed with 589-33x for 5th place. Sift Kaur Samra and Shriyanka Sadangi also made it to the next round with 584-30x (20th) and 584-28x (21st) respectively.
With multiple Indian women making it to the next round, Day 3 could bring podium action in this event.
