Ahmedabad, June 6, 2025:
India’s table tennis power couple Harmeet Desai and Krittwika Sinha Roy starred for Dempo Goa Challengers, guiding the defending champions to a commanding 10–5 win over PBG Pune Jaguars in the IndianOil Ultimate Table Tennis (UTT) Season 6 on Friday.
The win — Goa’s second in three ties — propelled them to the top of the points table, edging past U Mumba TT in the early standings.
Organised under the aegis of the Table Tennis Federation of India (TTFI) and promoted by Niraj Bajaj and Vita Dani, IndianOil UTT continues to thrive as India’s leading professional table tennis league. All 23 ties are being held at EKA Arena in Ahmedabad over 16 days, with tickets exclusively available on BookMyShow. Live coverage is being provided on Star Sports Khel, Star Sports 2 Tamil, and streaming platforms JioCinema and Disney+ Hotstar.
Goa’s Title Defence Gains Momentum
Dempo got off to a perfect start as Harmeet Desai continued his strong form, extending his unbeaten singles streak to 3–0 with a hard-fought 2–1 win over Alvaro Robles. The contest featured two Golden Point finishes, with Harmeet holding his nerve when it mattered most.

Krittwika Sinha Roy, making her first appearance this season, followed it up with a composed 2–1 victory against South Korea’s Zion Lee, who came into the lineup in place of the injured Dina Meshref. The win underlined Krittwika’s consistency in pressure moments and marked a confident return to action.
Goa’s mixed doubles pairing of Harmeet and Zeng Jian showcased seamless coordination, sweeping aside Anirban Ghosh and Zion Lee 3–0. Their comeback from 5–9 down to win the final game 11–9 added a touch of brilliance to their display.
Pune’s Anirban Ghosh sparked hopes of a fightback with a gritty 2–1 win over Tiago Apolonia, showing resilience and attacking flair. But Zeng Jian shut the door on any comeback, defeating an in-form Reeth Rishya 2–1 in the final match to seal the win and end Reeth’s unbeaten run in the league.
Harmeet and Zeng were adjudged the Indian and Foreign Players of the Tie, respectively, while Anirban earned the Shot of the Tie for a thunderous forehand winner against Apolonia.
Dream UTT Juniors: U Mumba TT Finish League Stage on Top
