Ahmedabad, June 7, 2025:
Indian paddler Jeet Chandra delivered a statement performance on Saturday evening, upsetting World No. 34 and World Championships silver medallist Ricardo Walther to guide Jaipur Patriots to a commanding 11–4 win over Ahmedabad SG Pipers in Season 6 of IndianOil Ultimate Table Tennis (UTT). With this win, Jaipur climbed to the top of the standings and firmly established themselves as title contenders.
Organised under the aegis of the Table Tennis Federation of India (TTFI) and promoted by Niraj Bajaj and Vita Dani, IndianOil UTT is in full swing at Ahmedabad’s EKA Arena, hosting all 23 ties over 16 action-packed days. Tickets are exclusively available on BookMyShow.

The tie opened with Kanak Jha overcoming a determined debut effort from Divyansh Srivastava, clinching the first game on Golden Point before closing out the next two 11–8, 11–6 for a 3–0 win. Ahmedabad responded with a spirited 2–1 win in the mixed doubles, as Walther and Ayhika Mukherjee edged past Jeet Chandra and Eerland in a tight contest. But Jeet returned with focus and fire in the men’s singles, producing one of the standout performances of the season. He took the opener against Walther on Golden Point, dropped the second narrowly, and then dug deep to seal the decider 11–9 securing arguably his biggest win in the IndianOil UTT.
With the result already secured, Sreeja Akula wrapped up the night by rallying from a game down to defeat Ayhika Mukherjee 2–1, ensuring a dominant final margin for Jaipur.
Jeet was deservingly named Indian Player of the Tie and also picked up the Shot of the Tie award. Eerland’s clinical display earned her the Foreign Player of the Tie honour.
