IndianOil UTT Season 6: Diya Chitale Seals Thrilling Win for Dabang Delhi; Dempo Goa Challengers Dominate Pune Jaguars

Diya Chitale delivered under pressure once again, sealing a dramatic final-match victory over Ananya Chande to guide Dabang Delhi TTC to an 8–7 win over Kolkata ThunderBlades in the IndianOil Ultimate Table Tennis (UTT) Season 6 on Friday. Earlier in the evening, defending champions Dempo Goa Challengers earned a clinical 10–5 win over PBG Pune Jaguars, with captain Harmeet Desai and Krittwika Sinha Roy starring in the victory.

With Friday’s results, Dabang Delhi TTC moved to the top of the table, while Goa climbed to second place.

Promoted by Niraj Bajaj and Vita Dani, and held under the aegis of the Table Tennis Federation of India (TTFI), IndianOil UTT has grown into India’s premier table tennis league. This season features 23 ties across 16 days, all staged at the EKA Arena in Ahmedabad. Dabang Delhi Edge Kolkata in a Nail-Biter

The evening tie began with a high-quality clash between two of India’s brightest young talents. Ankur Bhattacharjee continued his impressive run, edging out Izaac Quek in a pulsating opener that went down to the Golden Point. Adriana Diaz extended Kolkata’s early lead with a composed 2–1 win over Maria Xiao, putting the ThunderBlades firmly in command.

But Delhi struck back. Sathiyan Gnanasekaran and Xiao continued their unbeaten streak as a pair, clinching the mixed doubles 2–1. In the fourth match, Aruna Quadri overpowered Sathiyan to give Kolkata a narrow edge heading into the decider.

Needing a clean sweep, Diya Chitale stepped up with poise and authority. Her commanding 3–0 victory over debutant Ananya Chande turned the tide for Delhi, completing an incredible 8–7 comeback. Diya was named Indian Player of the Tie, while Diaz won both the Foreign Player and Shot of the Tie awards for her all-round display.

Goa Cruise Past Pune with Complete Team Performance

Earlier in the evening, Dempo Goa Challengers showed why they’re the reigning champions. Captain Harmeet Desai extended his singles streak to 3–0 with a narrow win over Alvaro Robles, before Krittwika Sinha Roy returned to the lineup and got the better of Zion Lee in three games. The mixed doubles saw Harmeet and Zeng Jian dominate their Pune opponents 3–0, continuing their strong chemistry from last season.

Zeng followed it up with a composed singles win over Reeth Rishya, handing the Pune star her first loss of the campaign. Anirban Ghosh fought valiantly for the Jaguars, earning two games for his side and picking up the Shot of the Tie award for a blistering forehand winner. Harmeet and Zeng were named Indian and Foreign Players of the Tie, respectively.

Dream UTT Juniors: U Mumba TT and Chennai Lions March On

In the Dream UTT Juniors, a grassroots initiative jointly promoted by IndianOil UTT and Dream Sports Foundation, U Mumba TT confirmed top spot with a 6–3 win over Jaipur Patriots, led by standout performances from Ananya Muralidharan in both singles and doubles. In the day’s opening tie, Divyanshi Bhowmick helped Stanley’s Chennai Lions edge out Ahmedabad SG Pipers 5–4 in a thrilling finish.

With the league stage wrapped up, the semifinal line-ups are set:
