The title race in the Royal Enfield Ice Hockey League Season 3 tightened further on Day Eleven at the Nawang Dorjay Stobdan (NDS) Stadium, Leh, as Humas Warriors delivered the season’s biggest win an emphatic 11-0 clean-sheet victory to consolidate their position at the top of the table.
Organised in partnership with the UT Administration of Ladakh and the Ice Hockey Association of Ladakh, the day featured five high-intensity fixtures, with Kangs Sing, Changthang Shans, Kharu Eagles and Purig Warriors also registering important wins.
Kangs Sing Reclaim Momentum
The day opened with Leh-side Kangs Sing overpowering Changla Blasters 8-2 in a contest defined by second-period dominance. Changla struck first through Stanzin Namgyal in the early exchanges, but Sonam Wangail quickly restored parity before Mushtaque Ahmad Giri gave Kangs the lead.
From there, Kangs accelerated. Stanzin Phuntsog, who finished with a hat-trick, added two goals a sharp tap-in followed by a precise drag flick while Captain Karma Rigyal Stein and Wangail extended the advantage. Though Namgyal Nurboo briefly reduced the deficit for Changla, Tsewang Nurboo ensured Kangs maintained their cushion. The result propelled Kangs Sing back to the summit of the points table at that stage of the day, while Changla Blasters remained rooted at the bottom.
Changthang Shans Control the Middle Period
Changthang Shans secured a convincing 7-1 win against Zanskar Chadar Tamers in the second men’s fixture. Captain Urgain Samstan opened proceedings with a composed tap-in, but Rinchen Wangyal’s response kept the game level heading into the second period.
The Shans then seized control. Chamba Tsetan’s tap-in initiated the surge, followed by goals from Tashi Sangdup (flick shot), Phuntsog Namyal (slap shot), and Rinchen Chosphel to effectively decide the contest. Stanzin Jambal added two more in the third period a slap-in and a flick shot as Changthang completed a clinical performance that strengthened their push up the standings.
Kharu Eagles Extend Unbeaten Run
In the women’s fixture of the day, Kharu Eagles continued their impressive run with a 3-1 victory over Changla Lamos. All three Eagles goals arrived in the opening period, effectively sealing the result early.

Rigzin Yangdol broke the deadlock midway through the first, before Deachen Chuskit and Kunzes Angmo capitalised on defensive lapses to build a 3-0 cushion. Changla Lamos responded through Padma Yangzes in the second period, but disciplined defending ensured Kharu protected their lead through a scoreless third period. The result keeps Kharu Eagles firmly in contention near the top of the women’s table.

However, Purig dominated the closing stages, with Bashar Ahmad, Kacho Shamshad, Anwar Hussain and Sajjad Hussain all contributing in a one-sided third period.
The victory solidified Purig’s hold on third place and further enhanced their goal difference.
Humas Warriors’ Statement Win
