The opening semi-final saw GS Delhi Aces produce a commanding all-round performance against the Rajasthan Rangers, asserting their authority early and never relinquishing control.
The tie began with the Women’s Singles, where 20-year-old Sofia Costoulas delivered a statement performance against Ekaterina Kazionova. Playing with clarity and aggression, Costoulas overwhelmed her opponent to register a stunning 19–6 win, the biggest margin of victory recorded in a tie this season. Her explosive start immediately put the Rajasthan Rangers on the back foot and handed Delhi a significant early cushion.

The Mixed Doubles brought a shift in momentum. Costoulas teamed up with Jeevan Nedunchezhiyan, but the Rangers’ pairing of Kazionova and Dhakshineswar Suresh responded with resilience. In a closely fought contest decided by fine margins, the Rangers edged out a 13–12 win, briefly keeping the semi-final alive.
However, any hopes of a comeback were quickly extinguished in the Men’s Singles. Billy Harris delivered a dominant display against world No. 26 Luciano Darderi, controlling the rallies and dictating play to secure a comprehensive 17–8 victory. The result left GS Delhi Aces just three points short of sealing their place in the final. The job was completed in the Men’s Doubles, where Nedunchezhiyan and Harris combined effectively against Dhakshineswar Suresh and Darderi, clinching a 3–1 win.
With that, GS Delhi Aces wrapped up a convincing 51–28 overall victory, underlining their balance and depth as they marched into the TPL Season 7 final with confidence.
Eagles Hold Their Nerve in a Thriller
The second semi-final between Yash Mumbai Eagles and SG Pipers Bengaluru unfolded as a far tighter affair, with momentum swinging from match to match and the outcome undecided until the very end. The tie opened with the Women’s Singles, where Shrivalli Bhamidipaty faced Riya Bhatia. After a competitive start, Bhatia produced a spirited comeback, edging the contest 13–12 to give the Eagles an early edge.
The Mixed Doubles followed, featuring Bhamidipaty and Rohan Bopanna against Bhatia and Niki Poonacha. With both teams locked in a tactical battle and every point crucial, it was the SG Pipers Bengaluru duo who held their nerve to claim a 13–12 win, keeping the semi-final finely balanced. The Men’s Singles saw Ramkumar Ramanathan take on world No. 57 Damir Dzumhur. Built around a strong serving performance and calm execution in key moments, Dzumhur edged past Ramanathan 14–11, swinging momentum back towards the Pipers.
The decisive moments came in the Men’s Doubles, where Ramanathan and Bopanna faced Poonacha and Dzumhur. The Pipers pair once again prevailed by the narrowest of margins, winning 13–12. Despite the late surge, the cumulative scores told a different story.
Thanks to their earlier gains, Yash Mumbai Eagles edged ahead on aggregate, sealing a nail-biting 51–49 overall victory to secure their place in the final. It was a result that reflected composure under pressure and the value of clutch performances across matches.
