4:10pm | India’s sprint star Animesh Kujur clocked a superb 20.81s, finishing 2nd in his semifinal — the 2nd fastest overall across both semis!
4:00pm | POOJA IS THE ASIAN CHAMPION at just 18! She attempts the NR but couldn’t manage but the teenager is ready to come back. She wins Gold no7 for India. India last won a High Jump Women Gold in 2000. So its been 25 long years. She wasn’t even born then.
3:50pm | NATIONAL RECORD FOR PARUL CHAUDHARY YET AGAIN!!!
Parul clocked a time of 9:12.46 mins in the women’s 3000m SC to break the NR that she clocked just a couple of weeks back in Doha..

3:05pm | India’s Anu Kumar clocked 1:47.00s to finish 2nd in his heat and secure a spot in the Men’s 800m Final at Asian Athletics Championships 2025! He’ll join Krishan Kumar in the final.
3:00pm | India’s Krishan Kumar has qualified for the Men’s 800m Final at Asian Athletics Championships 2025, finishing 2nd in his heat with 1:48.66! Kuwait’s Ebrahim Alzofairi topped the heat with 1:48.15.
2:30pm | After ruling the 10,000m, RF Athlete Gulveer Singh eyes to make it double in men’s 5000m at the Asian Athletics Championships 2025. He races at 3:10pm
2:20pm | Both Vithya Ramraj & Anu Raghavan advance into FINAL of 400m Hurdles event at Asian Athletics Championships.
Vithya finished 2nd in her Heat clocking 56.97s.
Anu finished 3rd in her Heat clocking 57.48s.
2:10pm | Heptathlete Nandini Agasara has a poor outing in javelin throw. Her best comes at 34.18 metres. Her sb is 10 sec better than chineseShe slips to second in the overall points(5056). Liu Jingyi of China (5110) takes the lead. Nandini trailing by 54 now She will have to set the pace now in 800m. Her sb is 10 sec better than Liu. A 5 seconds gap should be good for Gold.

2:00pm | India’s Vithya Ramraj has qualified for the Women’s 400m Hurdles Final at the #AsianAthleticsChampionships2025, clocking 56.97s and finishing 2nd in her heat! Asian Record holder Mujidat Adekoya (AR: 53.09s) topped the charts with 56.11s.
9:35am | Asian Athletics championships 2025: The baton exchange between Pranav & Ragul Kumar was poor.. They probably overshot the exchange zone and hence have been DQed.. An unfortunate end to India’s 4*100 campaign in Gumi. India faced a similar heartbreak at the 2017 Asian Athletics Championships on home soil.
Today’s squad featured two changes: Pranav and Ragul replaced Gurindervir and Animesh, but a baton exchange issue led to disqualification.

8:15am | India’s Jyothi Yarraji and Nithya Gandhe have qualified for the Women’s 200m Final . Yarraji clocked 23.74s, finishing 2nd in her heat and earning direct qualification with the 5th best time overall,Nithya clocked 23.77s, finishing 3rd in her heat and qualifying as one of the fastest losers
7:35am | India’s sprint sensation Animesh Kujur qualified for the Men’s 200m Semifinals at the Asian Athletics Championships 2025, clocking 20.98s to finish 2nd in Heat 1! His time was the 7th fastest overall across all heats. Heat 4/4 turned out to be the quickest, with the Top 4 going sub-21s — led by Saudi Arabia’s Abdulaziz Abdu, who clocked a blazing 20.61s, the fastest of all heats!
7:30am | Yashvir with a 76.67m has qualified for the final tomorrow. Now we are with Sachin, can he throw a big one?
7:15am | Nandini jumps a fabulous 6.13m in her last attempt while Liu managed a 5.83m in Heptathlon, this is a good performance considering the Long Jump Bronze went at 6.30m.Its a good 290pts lead after 5 events. JJ Shobha holds the record in heptathlon, notching 6211 points, a feat she achieved in 2004 in New Delhi. Can we see a 1512 pts in the next two events

6:50am | Asian Athletics championships 2025: Nandini is currently leading with 6.04m jump while the closest competitor overall is at 5.81m. if this remains this way it should almost seal the deal. Nandini will gain 890 pts from LJ after yet another impressive performance with a leap of 6.13m. Her tally of points after 5 events is 4500 & she’s opened up a healthy lead(~200 pts) now!

6:30am | First up we have Nandini, in heptathlon who was leading till yesterday and looks good for a medal today with three events to go. Here are the PB of Both India and China in remaining events In Long Jump Nandini – 6.20m & Liu – 6.04m, Javelin Throw Nandini – 41.13m & Liu- 50.41 while in 800m Nandini has – 2:15.33 & Liu has – 2:22.84
