Top ranked Indian Compound Archer defeats Mike in a tie breaker in Quarterfinals.

Abhishek Verma has nerves of steel as he demonstrated his skills in the Quarterfinal match against the world number one from Netherland Mike Schloesser. After both the archers were tied on a superb score of 149 each of a maximum of 150 they were forced to do a final shoot-off and it was Abhishek who emerged victorious.

Abhishek has been shooting tremendously well through the rounds. In the first round he shot a 148 against Ben Thompson while in the Round two he shot a 149 to defeat Robin from Estonia to move into the Quartefinals.

The other Indian Aman Saini who was seeded twenty lost in the round two shooting a 145.

In the women section both Jyothi & Muskan lost in the Quartefinals, while Jyothi who shot a commendable 148 lost out to Toja who shot a 149 it was not a very impressive performance by Muskan who shot a 143 against world champion Sara Lopez.

Abhishek/Jyothi to play for Bronze Medal

The Mixed Pair of Abhishek & Jyothi lost the Semifinal match to Colombia and now will play Mexico in Bronze Medal match. While the Netherlands and Colombia will fight for Gold Medal.

The matches are scheduled for today.
