Odisha FC and Inter Kashi FC played out a hard-fought 0-0 draw in Gameweek 2 of the Indian Super League 2025–26 season at the Kalinga Stadium in Bhubaneswar on Tuesday, February 24, 2026.

With Odisha FC featuring in their first match of the campaign following the postponement of their opening fixture, and Inter Kashi looking to build on a positive debut outing in the league, both sides produced an evenly contested encounter that ultimately lacked the finishing touch in front of goal.

Despite Odisha FC registering nine attempts and Inter Kashi managing eight over the course of the 90 minutes, both teams could only muster two shots on target each. The defensive units from both sides stood firm in a match that saw spells of attacking promise but little end-product in the final third. Odisha winger Rahul KP was adjudged the Player of the Match for his energetic performance across the flanks.

Inter Kashi began the contest on the front foot, showing attacking intent in the early exchanges. In the opening minute itself, midfielder Tomba Singh forced Odisha goalkeeper Amrinder Singh into action with a sharp low effort from distance, setting the tone for what promised to be an open contest.

Odisha responded around the quarter-hour mark with a quick transition initiated by Lalthathanga Khawlhring, which saw Rahul KP attempt a long-range strike that sailed over the crossbar. Moments later, the hosts came close again through Suhair VP, who headed over from close range after connecting with a set-piece delivery from Isak Vanlalruatfela.

Midway through the first half, Odisha continued to press forward. Thoiba Singh won a free-kick in a promising area on the right flank and later rose to meet Khawlhring’s delivery, only to see his header drift narrowly wide of the target. Suhair found himself in another scoring position shortly after, but once again failed to direct his effort on goal from a set-piece situation.

At the other end, Inter Kashi forward Alfred Planas found space inside the Odisha penalty area, but his close-range attempt was blocked by a resolute defensive line. The visitors remained compact in defence while looking to exploit transitions, ensuring Odisha were unable to establish sustained attacking momentum.

Just before the interval, Vanlalruatfela tested Inter Kashi goalkeeper Lluis Tarrés with a low strike from distance. However, the Spaniard was equal to the effort and gathered comfortably as both teams headed into halftime with the deadlock intact.

The second half followed a similar pattern, with both teams probing for openings but struggling to convert promising situations into clear-cut chances. Early in the restart, Inter Kashi forward Rohit Danu saw his header blocked inside the penalty area as the visitors attempted to create an opening.

A little after the hour mark, Odisha came closest to breaking the deadlock when Vanlalruatfela cut in from the left and unleashed a left-footed effort from a tight angle. Defender David Humanes reacted swiftly to block the attempt and keep Inter Kashi level.

In the 73rd minute, Danu had another opportunity for the visitors after being picked out by Prasanth Mohan on the left. However, his dragged effort failed to trouble Amrinder Singh in goal. Deep into stoppage time, Danu attempted one final effort from distance, which sailed just over the crossbar as Inter Kashi searched for a late winner.

Both sides pushed forward in the closing ten minutes, with Inter Kashi appearing the more threatening of the two during the latter stages. However, neither team was able to apply the finishing touch in front of goal, and the contest concluded without a breakthrough.

The result sees Odisha FC begin their campaign with a point on home soil, while Inter Kashi continue to add to their tally following an encouraging start to life in the Indian Super League.
