GS Delhi Aces consolidated their position at the top of the standings, while the Gujarat Panthers finally broke through to earn their first win of the season. The Yash Mumbai Eagles and SG Pipers also emerged victorious in their respective matches, making it one of the most competitive days of the league so far.

The day began with Yash Mumbai Eagles facing the Hyderabad Strikers, and the tie lived up to expectations with each category swinging the scoreboard in different directions. The Strikers got the ideal start through Carole Monnet, who produced a commanding 16-9 win over Riya Bhatia in the Women’s Singles. But the Eagles responded swiftly. Bhatia teamed up with Niki Poonacha in the Mixed Doubles to secure a crucial 15-10 victory over Monnet and Vishnu Vardhan, restoring balance in the tie.

Momentum shifted further when former top-30 ATP player Damir Dzumhur registered his first win of the tournament a confident 16-9 triumph over Pedro Martinez in the Men’s Singles. Although Vardhan and Martinez managed a hard-fought 13-12 win in the Men’s Doubles, the Eagles’ early advantage proved decisive as they sealed the contest 52-48.

Gujarat Panthers Break Through After Inspired Comeback

The second tie of the day featured the Gujarat Panthers against Rajasthan Rangers, and it unfolded as one of the most dramatic encounters of Season 7. The Panthers started brightly with Ekaterina Kazionova, who outclassed Nuria Brancaccio 16-9 in the Women’s Singles. Kazionova continued her strong outing by pairing with Dhakshineswar Suresh in the Mixed Doubles, edging out Brancaccio and Anirudh Chandrasekar 13-12.

However, the Rangers struck back in the most decisive clash of the tie the Men’s Singles. World No. 46 Alexandre Müller delivered a masterful display to defeat world No. 26 Luciano Darderi 17-8 in a matchup worthy of a tour-level event. The momentum carried into the Men’s Doubles as Müller and Chandrasekar closed out a 14-11 win over Suresh and Darderi.

That completed a 52-48 comeback victory for the Panthers their first win of the season injecting fresh life into their campaign.

SG Pipers Prevail in a Nail-Biter Against Chennai Smashers

The third fixture featured SG Pipers taking on the Chennai Smashers, a contest that unfolded with razor-thin margins across all categories. In the Women’s Singles, Irina Bara edged out Shrivalli Bhamidipaty 13-12 in a match defined by long rallies and tactical play. However, the Smashers struck back in the Mixed Doubles, where Bhamidipaty paired with Rohan Bopanna to dominate Bara and Rithvik Choudary Bollipalli 16-9.

The Men’s Singles saw Ramkumar Ramanathan scrape past Dalibor Svrcina 13-12, restoring the Pipers’ advantage. Although Svrcina and Bollipalli clinched the Men’s Doubles 15-10 against Bopanna and Ramanathan, the Pipers held on for a narrow 51-49 victory, marking their second win of the tournament.

GS Delhi Aces Stay Unbeaten and Firm at the Top

The final tie of the evening saw table-toppers GS Delhi Aces continue their unbeaten run, this time against the Gurgaon Grand Slammers. Belgian star Sofia Costoulas set the tone with a confident 16-9 win over Sahaja Yamalapalli in the Women’s Singles. She then partnered with Jeevan Nedunchezhiyan to claim a 15-10 win in the Mixed Doubles, giving the Aces a strong early cushion.

In the Men’s Singles, Dan Evans secured a tight 13-12 victory against Billy Harris, before the concluding Men’s Doubles saw Evans and Sriram Balaji beat Nedunchezhiyan and Harris 14-11. Despite the Slammers’ late push, the Aces’ early dominance ensured a 54-46 win their third straight triumph of the season.

Day three showcased the depth, unpredictability, and competitive fire that define TPL Season 7. With GS Delhi Aces riding high, Gujarat Panthers finally joining the winners’ column, and several teams pushing hard in the middle of the table, the race for playoff spots is well and truly heating up.
