With the vibrant city of Ahmedabad preparing to host another marquee sporting spectacle, the Tennis Premier League (TPL) Season 7 is all set to serve off from December 9 to 14 at the Gujarat University Tennis Stadium.
Powered by Clear Premium Water, the seventh edition of the league brings together eight franchises, global tennis stars and India’s finest talent for what promises to be a thrilling week of fast-paced, high-stakes tennis. Over the years, TPL has carved a unique identity in the Indian sporting calendar, thanks largely to its revolutionary format. Each tie features four matches Women’s Singles, Mixed Doubles, Men’s Singles and Men’s Doubles with every match worth 25 points. That means 100 points are up for grabs in every encounter, keeping contests alive until the very last point.
During the league phase, each team will play five matches between December 9 and 13, with the top four advancing to the semi-finals and final scheduled on the closing day, December 14.
What adds further shine to Season 7 is the presence and backing of Indian tennis legends such as Leander Paes, Sania Mirza and Mahesh Bhupathi, whose involvement continues to lend credibility and star power to the league. This year’s roster is particularly impressive, featuring several international players ranked inside the world’s top 50 alongside a strong contingent of Indian professionals.

SG Pipers will be led by two-time Grand Slam champion Rohan Bopanna, whose leadership and doubles expertise remain invaluable. He is supported by India’s No.2 women’s singles player Shrivalli Bhamidipaty and Ramkumar Ramanathan. Rajasthan Rangers boast one of the most explosive line-ups, headlined by World No.26 Luciano Darderi of Italy, alongside Russia’s Anastasia Gasanova and rising Indian talent Dhakshineswar Suresh.
