Yashdeep led the day with a 687, while Korea also topped the team standings with a score of 2087, placing themselves as the clear favourites heading into eliminations.
India, meanwhile, delivered a strong ranking round of their own, finishing second in the team standings with 2021 points, positioning themselves in the opposite half of the knockout bracket from Korea. This gives the team a clear path to push for a second straight Asian Championships medal in Dhaka having secured men’s team silver in 2021.

Knockout Bracket: India Draw Turkmenistan in 1/8 Round
The team eliminations bracket places India on the lower half of the draw, avoiding Korea until the final.
India’s Knockout Path
1/8 Final: India (No.2) vs Turkmenistan (No.15)
If India win, they will face the winner of: Malaysia (No.7) vs Bhutan (No.10)
On the opposite side, Korea face winner of Vietnam & Bangladesh, while Kazakhstan meet Pakistan setting up potentially high-quality quarterfinals. Based on the draw, India’s most likely semifinal opponents would be Kazakhstan, who finished third in the ranking round.
This aligns with the 2025 ranking-round pattern: Korea remain the benchmark. Kazakhstan, ranked third today, have a history of upsetting higher-ranked opponents, making them a likely threat in the semifinal bracket.
India’s 2021 Silver A Motivating Parallel
You shared that India won the men’s team silver in Dhaka in 2021, making the 2025 event at the same venue emotionally significant. The current trio Bhoge, Atanu, Rahul have begun well with their No.2 seeding, and their performance resembles the strong opening India had in 2021.
This continuity, combined with India’s balanced scoring today, gives the team a foundation to target another podium finish.
The ranking round in Dhaka has delivered:
- Korea as the emphatic No.1 in both individual and team standings.
- India as the clear No.2 team and with an individual archer at No.1.
- A knockout draw that keeps India and Korea apart until the final.
- Kazakhstan, Iran, and Uzbekistan forming the core of the mid-table group.
With India’s previous success at this venue, their strong team total of 2021, and Bhoge’s excellent 687, the team enters the eliminations with momentum and optimism. Three wins now stand between India and a return to the Asian Championships podium.
