Ultimate Table Tennis (UTT), India’s premier professional table tennis league, has announced a long-term partnership with global table tennis equipment giant Butterfly to promote the sport at the amateur and semi-professional levels across India.
This strategic collaboration marks the next phase in UTT’s mission to build a comprehensive and sustainable table tennis ecosystem in the country one that connects elite performance with grassroots participation. Over the past few years, India has witnessed a steady rise in interest and structured development in table tennis, driven by UTT’s initiatives, increased access to quality coaching, and enhanced competitive opportunities for young players.
As part of the agreement, Butterfly will serve as the title sponsor for four amateur-level competitive events over the next two years. The first of these, the Butterfly Ultimate Table Tennis Challenger Cup, will be held at JVPG Club, Mumbai, from November 20 to 23, 2025.
The upcoming Challenger Cup will cater to boys and girls in the Under-11, Under-13, and Under-15 singles categories. Participation will be open to emerging players, excluding the top two seeds in the Under-11 category and the top four seeds in the Under-13 and Under-15 categories within their respective districts ensuring a fair and developmental competition field.
The event will offer an attractive prize pool, with ₹5,000 for winners, ₹3,000 for runners-up, and ₹1,500 for third place, along with medals, trophies, and souvenirs for all participants. Registrations for the event are now open through the official UTT link.

In addition to curating this intellectual property with UTT, Butterfly will provide all official competition equipment, bringing world-class playing standards to the grassroots level. The brand will also offer exclusive player goodies and merchandise, reinforcing its commitment to nurturing young Indian talent and strengthening its presence within the country’s rapidly expanding table tennis community.
