Pune Jaguars Dominate as Robles and Meshref Set the Tone
In a high-octane clash between international stars, Alvaro Robles edged Quadri Aruna in a thrilling opener, winning all three games on Golden Points — a rare feat and the second such instance this season. Dina Meshref followed with a 2–1 win over Adriana Diaz, claiming her maiden singles victory of the campaign. She then partnered with Anirban Ghosh for a solid 2–1 win in the mixed doubles, putting Pune firmly in control.

Kolkata fought back through Ankur Bhattacharjee, who defeated Anirban 2–1 in the second men’s singles. However, Anirban’s win in the final game proved pivotal, denying Ankur a clean sweep and preserving Pune’s advantage. Reeth Rishya then wrapped up the tie with a commanding 3–0 win over Selena Selvakumar, sealing an emphatic 10–5 result for the Jaguars.
Meshref was named Foreign Player of the Tie, Reeth took home the Indian Player of the Tie, and Diaz earned Shot of the Tie honours for a blistering forehand winner.
Dabang Delhi TTC Hold Nerve in Rematch of 2024 Final
Earlier in the day, Dabang Delhi TTC got their season off to a perfect start with a 9–6 win over Dempo Goa Challengers, in a rematch of last year’s title clash. Izaac Quek gave Delhi a dream start with a clinical 3–0 sweep over Tiago Apolonia. Zeng Jian struck back for Goa, blanking Diya Chitale to level the tie.
Delhi reclaimed the lead as Sathiyan Gnanasekaran and Maria Xiao edged Harmeet Desai and Zeng in a high-quality doubles battle. Harmeet, though, levelled the scoreline once again by defeating Sathiyan in a three-game thriller. With the tie hanging in the balance, Maria Xiao produced a flawless 3–0 win over Sayali Wani to secure the victory for Delhi.
Harmeet Desai was awarded both Indian Player of the Tie and Shot of the Tie, while Maria Xiao claimed the Foreign Player of the Tie accolade.
Dream UTT Juniors: Big Wins for U Mumba and Jaipur Patriots
At the Dream UTT Juniors — a grassroots initiative by IndianOil UTT and Dream Sports Foundation — U Mumba TT registered a dominant 7–2 win over Ahmedabad SG Pipers, with Prateek Tulsani and Ananya Muralidharan starring in both singles and doubles.
In the second tie, Jaipur Patriots edged Stanley’s Chennai Lions 5–4, thanks to a strong opening by Trishal Surapureddy and a crucial doubles point alongside Shreya Dhar that sealed the outcome.
