In the final day of Guwahati Masters India has three representations in finals and all are up against the Chinese opponents.
India has two representations in singles (MS, WS) and one in Women’s Double.
AshTan Defend Their Guwahati Masters Title
In first final of the day, WR 13 and top seed of the tournament, pair of Ashwini/Tanisha was up against the Li Hua/Wang Zi. It is never an easy task when you are up against Chinese duo but Indian pair was able to defeat them in straight games of 21-18, 21-12 and win the title for the second time after 2023.
Special mentions to Tanisha Crasto, which is the most improved doubles player in recent times, this is her second final after Syed Modi in few weeks.

Now Tanisha is gearing up for Odisha Masters, starting from 12th Dec. As Ashwini is withdrawn from there, therefore She will play in XD with Dhruv Kapila.
Sathish Wins His Second Super 100 Title
Sathish Kumar Karunakaran is another hero of the day who wins his first BWF tour title of this year. Sathish defeated Zhu Xuan Chen in straight games with 21-17, 21-14.
This is Sathish’s second Super 100 title after Odisha Masters 2023. Sathish secured the win for India in MS after the big names like Priyanshu Rajawat and Ayush Shetty exit in the starting round of the tournament. Now Sathish’s eyes on Odisha Masters to defend his title in 2024 and end the year with two S100 titles.
Heartbreak for Young Anmol Kharb in Finals
In the Women’s Singles final, young Indian player Anmol Kharb narrowly missed out on her first BWF Tour title. Despite winning the first game against China’s Cai Yan, a former World No. 14, Anmol lost the second game.
In the decider, Cai Yan’s experience proved decisive, and she secured the victory. For Anmol, this is a valuable learning experience.
Her strong performance throughout the tournament earned her a runner-up finish and propelled her into the world’s top 80 for the first time, achieving a career-high ranking of World No. 99.
Consistent growth has been the hallmark of Anmol’s career so far, and her focus now shifts to the Odisha Masters next week.
