Teenager showed no nerves in her first match at the CWG, moved into the Rd32 in Women Singles.

The much talked about Anahat Singh who made her way into the Indian team for the commonwealth games had lot of people waiting to see how she performs. She came she conquered and with a smile on her face. For a Fourteen year old who is making a debut at such a bug stage to see such composure was heartening to see.

Anahat defeated her opponent from St. Vincent and the Grenadines without much effort. After winning the first two games 11-5, 11-2 she was toying with her opponent to close the third game 11-0.

She will next face Emily Whitlock from Wales who has a Career high rank of 12 in the world. It should be a good test for the Young Indian girl.

The other Indian playing to make it to the next round was 23-year old Abhay Singh who has been in some good form of late. He was up against Chapman from British Virgin Islands, all the three games were won by Abhay in 11-5 to mark his entry into the next round. He plays Alan Clyne who is current no one from Scotland.

Four player who got a bye in the first round. Sourav Ghosal, Ramit Tandon, Joshna Chinappa & Sunayana Kuruvilla will start their campaigns today.
