Karman Thandi who is making a comeback after an injury has won her Second Singles ITF Title in her Third Tournament post injury
Big Serving Karman Kaur Thandi defeats the current Junior WR3 & Junior Aus open finalist Sofia Costoulas of Belgium in the final of the $25,000 ITF women’s tennis at the Tennis Project in Gurugram on Sunday.
At one point she was down 2-4 in the first set but she recovered from that and won the next four games to close the set 6-4. After losing the first set the young Belgium girl showed her A-game. Sofia won the second game in no time 6-2 which took the match in the decider.
Karman took a short break, post the second set and came back trully refreshed. Karman broke Sofia in the fourth game to take a 3-1 lead which proved to be decisive.

Post the match she was quite emotional as this title has come after four years and a host of injuries and coming back on the tour must have been gruelling.
She was in tears and as soon as she clinched the match point she went and hugged her parents.

Karman who is currently ranked 497 in the world will jump by atleast 100 places thanks to the 50 points she will gain with this title. She will hope to continue the good form in the next week as well.
