1) Kabaddi World Cup / World Kabaddi Championship 2025
It all starts with the game of our soil, the game which defines India , the game which India invented. No prizes for guessing – kabaddi! India being the defending champions from 2016 would want to defend their title against new rising powers in world kabaddi of which Iran being the toughest challengers. India under Anup Kumar defeated Iran by thinnest of margins in 2016 Final held at Ahmedabad to clinch the title, but since then India has faced multiple defeats and close finishes against the Iran side. The Indian side would be raring to defend their title in 2025 and stamp their authority as the ruler of world kabaddi despite arrival of new world forces. It will be the fourth edition of the marquee tournament kicking off in the month of January 2025, India being the winner of all of the previous three editions.
2) Men’s Hockey Asia Cup 2025
India being in a frenzy of two back to back Olympic medals is ready to be taken over by a multi nation hockey tournament with the 12th edition of Men’s Asia Cup kicking of from August 27th in Rajgir, Bihar. After successfully hosting the women’s asian champions trophy Rajgir awaits the Indian Hockey superstars to set the turf on fire. The significance of the tournament being the winners qualify for the 2026 FIH world cup in Netherlands. India in their home turf would want to take the crown back from South Korea who are the defending champions.
3) World SepakTakraw Champs
A game not a household name in India would want to leave a mark in Indian youth and inspire youngsters to take up this beautiful sport when the world sepaktakraw championship takes place in Bihar. The sport which may be well explained as a combination of football and volleyball dominated by asian nations thailand,cambodia,malaysia,philippines would want to expand its base in India by leaving a mark in the minds of talented youngsters of Bihar. India being a rising force in the game after winning bronze in women’s event at the 2023 Asian Games would want to show the world their mettle.
4) Khelo India Youth Games 2025
The event which has produced multiple Olympians and Olympic medalists from India is ready to leave a mark in the minds of youth from Bihar. Out of 117 participants from India in 2024 Paris Games , 28 were Khelo India Games product with Manu Bhaker,Aman Shehrawat and Sarabjot Singh being the top names. The Khelo India Games since its first edition in 2018 has proven to be a talent hunt for multiple sporting talent across India and would like to spot some more talents in the coming edition in Bihar from April 2025.
