Yuki Bhambri & Saketh Myneni enter their third ATP Challenger final for the year.
The All – Indian pairing of Yuki Bhambri & Saketh Myneni who have been in tremendous form this season defeated Czech- Finnish pairing of Marek Gengel & Niklas-Salminen.
Coming into the semifinals the Indian pair has had to come through two Super Tie-breakers but were determined to not take that route in Semifinals. They won the first set breaking the fifth serve of their opponents and then held onto the serve to win the first one 6-4. The stats otherwise were pretty equal for both the pairs except the opponents having a much better first serve percentage of 71 to Yuki/Saketh 59.
The second set was much more competitive and keenly fought, in fact Marek/Niklas had a set point as well at 5-4[40-40] but the Indian pair saved it and took the game into tie break.
The tie break also didnt start pretty well for the Indian as they lost the first serve but then broke the opponents twice to close the second set 7-6[7-4].
Yuki/Saketh won the match 6-4,7-6.
In the final its a battle between the top two seeds and its going to be a tough fight between home pairing of Cabral/Borges and Indian pair of Yuki/Saketh.
A title for the Indian pair will take Saketh to ATP124 while Yuki will move to ATP164, a definite good rise for Indian Doubles pair.
