Top seeds Rohan Bopanna and Matthew Ebden enter the Miami Open final in commanding fashion by defeating 4th seeds Marcel Granollers and Horacio Zeballos 6-1, 6-4 in the semi-finals, also redeeming themselves after the loss against the same pair last year.
This is the 5th time Rohan Bopanna and Matthew Ebden reached the final of the ATP Masters 1000 as a pair, and their partnership and coordination on the court were on display as they comfortably defeated their opponents to sail into
the finals.
This is Bopanna’s 14th ATP Masters 1000 final appearance and first appearance at the Miami Open finals. Bopanna also becomes the second Indian, after Leander Paes, to make the final of all nine ATP Masters 1000 events.
Besides entering the finals of the Miami Open, Rohan Bopanna and Matthew Ebden will also now regain their World No. 1 title again, irrespective of the results in the finals.
They are going to be playing against the second seed Croatian Dodig and American Krajicek.
These two pairs had earlier met in the final of rotterdam open in 2023 and it was the Croat-American pair which got better of Indo-Aussie in three sets.
It will be interesting to see whether Bopanna and Ebden are able to avenge that loss and get the Title
