Sensational Sen looking to Rise at Paris Olympics

A young Indian Badminton player Lakshya Sen, has secured his spot for the Paris Olympics 2024.

His years of hard work , patience, resilience and sheer determination lead him to clinched his  Olympics spot.

This will be Lakshya’s debut at Olympics. Over the years, he has been making his mark with his rise at international level and pushed world class players to their limits many times, and continually improving his skills.

His evolving passion for badminton has propelled him to new heights. And this time, it has taken him to the mammoth stage of the Olympics.

Way to Paris Year 2024 :-

In the beginning of the year  Lakshya was ranked 19th, and only the top 16 would qualify for the Paris.

JANUARY:- Lakshya Sen began the year on a high note, securing the men’s singles title at the Tata Open India International Challenge.
This win set the tone for a remarkable year ahead.

FEBRUARY:- He continued his impressive form, reaching the semi-finals at the Thailand Masters. Although he faced a setback, he showed his mettle against top-ranked players.

MARCH:- Lakshya put up a fearless fight at the German Open, making it to the quarter-finals.

He followed this up with a strong performance at the All England Open, where he won two deciders.
With these performances Lakshya  rose to the 12th position in the BWF Race to Paris, making him the second Indian to qualify in the men’s singles event along with HS Prannoy BWF WR No. 6.
For the first time in Olympic history, India will have two representatives in the men’s singles badminton event, marking a fantastic milestone for the country in the sport.
APRIL:- Sen’s dedication and hard work paid off as he mathematically secured his place in the Paris Olympics 2024, ranked at the 13th position in the race to the Paris 2024 Olympic Qualification Rankings (OQR) with 64021 points.
This achievement marked a remarkable milestone in his journey.

After the qualification lakshay quoted:-

“I want to win a medal. It’s my first Olympic qualification experience. I too made mistakes, and I’m still learning. Now, I see it as a challenge. When people are not expecting that much, you can play freely but at the same time, a lot is at stake. I have to be really focused and sharp for the next three months.”

Potential to secure a podium finish.

Lakshya Sen has immense potential for the upcoming Paris  Olympics 2024.

As we know Sen has qualified for the Paris Olympics 2024, which is a remarkable achievement in itself.
He finished at the 13th position in the race to the Paris 2024 Olympic Qualification Rankings (OQR) with 64021 points.
He recently made a comeback with two consecutive semi-final finishes on the BWF European World Tour. French Open Super 750 and he won three deciders at the French Open and All England  Opens and won two deciders,also in two consecutive weeks which shows his sheer Potential,and determination to perform well at big stage.

Lakshya Sen has been training in Europe ahead of the Paris Olympics 2024, under the guidance of his Coach Vimal Sharma and  his mentor Yoo Yong-sung, two time Olympics medalist from south korea. He will be the lakshya’s coach in Paris Olympics 2024. He is prepareing  him well for the tournament with good speed and quick reflexes.
Sen will also be training in Marseille, France before  12 days of Olympics to prepare well for a good finish.
His previous mentor, Prakash Padukone, has been also guiding him and helping him to focus on winning tournaments rather than just improving his ranking.
Lakshya Sen has expressed his goal of winning the gold medal at the Paris Olympics 2024, which reflects hisabsolute confidence and makes him one of the best contender for Podium. And his training indicates that he will perform well in the Paris Olympics 2024.
