In the women’s singles semifinals, Tamil Nadu’s Selena Deepthi Selvakumar defeated Haryana’s Preetha Priya Vartikar 7-11, 16-14, 11-7, 11-9, 11-6, while Swastika Ghosh outplayed Shriya Anand 11-7, 11-7, 11-8, 11-6.
The grand finale witnessed a thrilling contest between Tamil Nadu and Maharashtra. Whereas, in the men’s singles semifinals, Tamil Nadu’s Sathiyan Gnanasekaran battled past teammate Abhinandan P.B. with a hard-fought 12-10, 18-20, 11-3, 5-11, 11-9, 11-4 victory. Meanwhile, Maharashtra’s Jash Amit Modi edged out Delhi’s Payas Jain 7-11, 11-4, 6-11, 11-4, 11-5, 7-11, 11-9.
While the men’s singles final was a nail-biting affair as Maharashtra’s Jash Amit Modi staged a brilliant fightback to defeat Tamil Nadu’s Sathiyan Gnanasekaran 7-11, 6-11, 11-7, 11-8, 14-12, 6-11, 11-6, securing the gold medal in a seven-set thriller.
In mixed doubles, West Bengal’s Anirban Ghosh and Ayhika Mukherjee stunned Maharashtra’s Chinmaya Somaiya and Reeth Rishya Tennison with a sensational comeback. Despite losing the first two sets, they turned the tide to win 10-12, 6-11, 11-7, 11-8, 11-2 and claim the championship title.
