Star Indian tennis player Sania Mirza who is playing her last season on the WTA tour has reached the Finals of the WTA500 event with her partner Lucie Hradecka.
They shocked the Top seed in the tournament Zhang and Dolehide in a tight three setter. The first set was comfortably won by Sania and Lucie 6-2 and they were leading the second 3-0. The top seed pair made a spirited fightback from there to win the set 6-4
In the super tie break it was the Indo-Czech pair who didn’t let the momentum slip to eventually win the match 6-2,4-6,10-8
Earlier in the tournament they had defeated the Seed third of the tournament in yet another exciting match. In the Quarterfinals they came back from a set down to defeat Guarachi and Pegula 3-6,6-3,10-6
A title here will take Sania Mirza to World rank 32
