Indian men’s hockey team played a thrilling 3-3 draw against Malaysia in its second Super4s stage match of the Asia Cup in Jakarta.

In women’s SU5 category, Manisha defeated Japan’s Akiko Sugino 21-17, 21-11 and then combined with Mandeep Kaur defeated Thailand’s Nipada Saensupa and Chanida Srinavakul 21-9, 21-13 in just 21 minutes.
In men’s singles SL3, Bhagat, who won two gold medals at the recent Bahrain 2022 International, defeated compatriot Nitish Kumar 19-21, 21-17, 21-17 to emerge victories.

Sania Mirza and her Croatian partner Ivan Dodig lost their second round match 4-6, 3-6 to the all-Brazilian pair of Beatriz Haddad Maia and Bruno Soares in the mixed doubles at the French Open.
Sania, along with her Czech partner Lucie Hradecka, will play against the all-American duo of Jessica Pegula and Coco Gauff in the pre-quarterfinals of women’s doubles.
R. Bopanna and his Slovenian partner A. Klepač lost their mixed doubles match 6-7, 4-6 to the Ecuadorian G. Escobar and Czechia L. Hradecká.

Abhijeet Gupta (6.5 points) drew with eventual champion Uzbek Nodirbek  Abdusattorov (7) in the ninth and final round to finish third in the $60,000 Sharjah Masters chess tournament in Sharjah.
D. Gukesh and Arjun Erigaisi (6 each) won their final rounds to finish sixth and ninth, respectively, and broke into the top-10 bracket
