Thailand open
Three Indian pugilists, including world championship silver medallist Amit Panghal reached the finals of the Thailand Open boxing tournament. Ananta Pralhad (54kg), Sumit (75kg) also advanced to the finals.
Overall, Seven Indian boxers will fight for gold as Ashish Kumar (81kg), Monika (48kg), Govind Sahani (48kg) and Varinder Singh (60kg) had already entered the finals of their respective events on Wednesday.

FIH Women’s Junior World Cup
The Indian women’s hockey team continued its unbeaten run and defeated South Korea 3-0 on Friday to enter the semifinals for only the second time.
The Indians scored through Mumtaz Khan (11th minute), Lalrindiki (15th) and Sangita Kumari (41st) to emerge winners in the quarterfinal match.
