FIFA World Cup Qualifiers: After a stalemate show at Saudi Arabia Indian football national team will be geared up to show some character and gain that much important 3 point to qualify for the next round.


On 26 March 2024, India will play its second leg home match against Afghanistan in Indra Gandhi Athletic Stadium, Guwahati India.
With a crowd on its side Blue Tigers have to register its first win of this year to answer all the criticism after bad performances recently.

Nearly two decades of service for the country, the legend Sunil Chetri will appear in his 150th International match in the upcoming match against Afghanistan. But with increasing age the 39 years old striker is suffering from poor form. In this ISL season he played a total of  17 matches but only scored 4 goals and 3 assists . We really want him to perform really well in this match and score the winning goal for India.

The National team coach “Igor Stimac” also hinted that if he doesn’t take India to the third round of FIFA WCQ, 2026 he will resign from his post.

Igor Stimac: “Never mind the contract, If I don’t take India to the third round, I will leave. With my pride, with my honour, with everything that I have done in the last five years. But if we qualify, there’s plenty of work that has to be done.” [myKhel]
