There are 4 groups in both the competition with 4 countries in each group. According to rules the top 2 teams from each will qualify for quarterfinals.
India had written history by winning its first ever Thomas Cup in the previous edition by emerging as a dark horse to surprise all. However this time, things have quite changed with no longer being the dark horse. We are a serious title contender with players like Satchi, Prannoy & Lakshay on our side.

Teams will be well prepared against us .
Meanwhile in the Uber Cup we have a quite easy group. It will be easy for us to qualify for the quarter final stage and improve our previous performance by qualifying for the first ever Uber Cup semi final.

With keeping in mind our recent performance in both Women’s and Men’s teams we can really hope for a podium finish for both the teams.
