Indian Greco-Roman contingent who failed to grab even a single medal at the last championships held in Almaty Kazakhstan in 2021 will have a chance to grab four on the day 1 of the championships.
on the first day of the competition India had five wrestlers competing to go deep in the draw. However it was a dissapointing performance as three wrestlers failed to win even one match. Only Sunil GR87 , 2019 runner-up and Arjun GR55 managed to win one match each. Neeraj GR63 and Sajan GR77 got lucky that the oppenent they lost to eventually made it to the finals.
