Volleyball action started in both 5×5 and 3×3 categories today at the Volleyball at National Games
Specifically taking about Basketball 5×5 matches the Delhi team had a fabulous day in Uttarakhand.
During the men competition the Delhi team absolutely thrashed the opponent scoring 116 against Madhya Pradesh who could only manage a 61 across four quarters. The Delhi team is part of Group B which also has Punjab and Rajasthan.
While in Group A Tamil Nadu got better of Services in a close match 76-69, the other two teams Karnataka and host Uttarakhand will be in action tomorrow.
The Women match between Punjab and Uttarakhand saw Punjab stamp their authority over the hosts with a clean victory of 96-54, the ofher two teams Kerala and Uttar Pradesh will be in action tomorrow.
In the Group B action Delhi Women defeated Chhattisgarh in a very close match 76-75
The other two teams are TN and Karnataka
Today saw only four matches while tomorrow there will be six matches throughout the day with 12 out of 16 teams in action.
The group stage matches will continue until January 31, while the knockout stage matches will be played on February 1.
In Men Punjab are the defending champions when they got better of TN while in Women Kerala had won against Karnataka to take the Gold Medal
