Indian Men Recurve team topped the qualification at Archery World Cup Stage 1 Antalya

Indian Men Recurve team topped the qualifications with a score of 2000.

In absence of powerhouse South Korea 🇰🇷 and teams from China 🇨🇳 and Japan 🇯🇵 Indian team comprising of experienced duo of Tarundeep Rai, Jayanta Talukdar and Sachin Gupta scored a score of 2000 to secure first position.

Indian women team scored 1923 which was way off from the world record score of 2053. In what came as a surprise Komalika was placed as the fourth best Indian hence not making it to the Team event.

The mixed team is placed at fifth position

Men Individual qualifications saw both Sachin Gupta and Tarundeep Rai finishing inside Top10

The women Individual qualifications saw Ridhi finish within Top10 while Ankita Bhakat was placed at 14th. Komalika had a very average day with a score of only 627 out of 720

In the morning session the Indian Men team made it to the Finals scheduled on Saturday

7:00 pm | After 48 arrows, Jayanta who had a superb first half which saw him stand at 6th position is now down to 21st owing to a very average 105 on the first six arrows. Sachin Gupta has stormed back into contention with a superb round of 116 to be placed at 9th, Tarundeep also is on 10th position with consistent shooting

In the women section Ridhi continues to be at third position thanks to 329 that she shot in the first half, however the second round has started with a 108 in first 12 arrows. Ankit Bhakat and Simranjeet Kaur are on 21st and 27th position.
