The event will feature 18 sports across 23 venues in six German cities, including Bochum, Duisburg, Essen, Mulheim an der Ruhr, Hagen, and Berlin.

11:00pm | What a star is Rohit, he betters the National Record twice in the day, clocks 23.96s in 50m Butterfly men to occupy 6th place in his heat.
10:00pm | The India vs Japan Men team is underway currently
8:30pm | India suffer a close 2-3 loss against Romania as Suhana & Sayali lost their respective second matches. We next play Netherlands who lost to Romania today.
8:00pm | In the next two matches of the tie Suhana lost in straight games while Taneesha won a clutch match 3-2 against Andrea.
7:45pm | In the Women’s Team Group Stage – Group 5 Indian women are up against Romania which can be a tricky encouter, Sayali gives a good start to the Indian team winning in straight matches 3-0 against Ioana.
6:30pm | So, only Table Tennis action is left for the day. Men play Japan while Women play Romania.
5:45pm | In the tennis courts, Kabir Hans bows out from the Rd64 as he faces a tough three set loss against Uzbekistan Maksim Shin 2-6, 6-4, 4-6 and with that Indian medal hopes in the Men Singles in Tennis are gone as both the Indian Men Singles players lost their matches.
5:35pm | India Blanks Macau 5-0, on expected lines without breaking a sweat, we will be up against a much tougher challenge again HKG next
5:30pm | Indian campaign in Fencing for today is over, Abhay lost 13-15 in Rd64 while Mitva lost 11-15 to Zittel in Rd32.
5:20pm | A very disappointing outing for the Men Sabre players as only Abhay Shinde could make it to the knockout rounds, Dhruv could win 1 out of 6 Chirag & Aditya lost all six matches and failed to make the knockouts.
India face a challenging day at FISU World University Games 2025
5:15pm | Saneeth returns back to court and wins convincingly 2-0 against Ao Mac to give India a lead of 3-0, India is in the group F with Macau & Hong Kong
4:50pm | Devika wins her match against Chi convincingly to give India a 2-0 lead.
4:35pm | Badminton Mixed Team match is underway as we play Macau, the first match was a men doubles wherein the pair of Sathish & Saneeth comfortably won against the Macau pair to give India 1-0 lead
4:25pm | Ok so whats left for the day, Fencing Rd of 32 for Mitva, Badminton, Table Tennis Team matches and Rohit goes again in the night at 10:48pm. The Men Sabre will be starting at 5:30pm
3:55pm | And we finally HAVE A WIN, Mitva wins here Rd 64 match against Harriet in a very convincing manner 15-6, she led all the way and never looked back, she now plays at 5:05pm against home player Zittel in the Women’s Épée Individual Table of 32 in Fencing.
3:40pm | In Volleyball Women Indian Team suffered second straight loss as they lost to Poland 15-25, 13-25, 15-25 and with this Indian hopes of making the next round are almost over except a mathematical calculation.
3:30pm | In the Mixed Team Taekwondo Poomsae event Indian team, Yash Malinda & Ritu Yadav lost to China 8.932 – 8.433 in the Mixed Pair Poomsae Round of 16.
3:15pm | In the Women’s Épée Individual Fencing Table of 128 Tanuja, who made it to the kn0ckout winning 2 of the five matches lost to Iulia from Switzerland 10-15 Tanuja started well and was leading 5-4 but lost the plot from there,
While other fencers in Women Epee Mumtaj could only win 1 of the 5 matches in the group stage. Yashkeerat won 1 out of 6 matches while Mitva who won 4 of the six matches has made it directly to Round of 64. Mitva plays Hillier for a place in Rd of 32 at 3:25pm, remember its a race to 15 points to win the match
3:00pm | In the Men 4×100 Freestyle Men Relay race the Indian team was in the slowest heat and finished 2 out of 2 team that started. Indian team was made of Rohit, Shoan, Aneesh & Jashua, they clocked 3:26.68 for a 17th place finish of the total of 24 countries.
2:48pm | India finished 7th in the H2 and thus will be out of the Final, we clocked 4:06.07 to be one ahead of Argentina in the 4×100 women Freestyle heats. It really shows we are way behind in Swimming, you may want to read this
2:40pm | Next up is 4×100 Freestyle Women Heats and the Indian team constitutes of Lateisha, Bhavya, Snighda & Nina are in Heat2, they need to be in top8 to make the Finals scheduled tonight. The Indian team is in the Lane 1 of Heat 2.
2:35pm | In the 200m Breaststroke Men Heats Vidith was placed 21st while Yadesh was 41st of 54 swimmers, Vidith with a 1:02.02 was 0.52 s shy of the Semifinals.
2:30pm | In Tennis Men’s Singles Round of 128, Indian entry Teertha Shashank Lost tamely to Swiss opponent 6-0, 6-1
Highlight for the day at FISU World University Games 2025
2:20pm | The Highlight for the day at FISU Games so far has been the National Record set by Rohit Benedicton in the 50m Butterfly.
2:00pm | In the 100m Breaststroke Men Heats two Indian Swimmers are in the H3, Vidith (ET 1:05.73) and Yadesh (ET1:04.97), in the race Vidith finished on the top of the heat with a time of 1:02.02 while Yadesh was fifth with 1:05.19. Pretty good timing from Vidith as he entered with a 1:05 and clocked a 1:02, which seems is his personal best time.
1:56pm | Pratyasa finished 25th while Shrungi was 27th out of 28 Swimmers in the 200m Backstroke Women Swimming event, not an encouraging performance.
1:42pm | In the 200m Backstroke Women Shrungi (ET2:36.91) & Pratyasa (ET 2:29.48) were both in the slowest heat and Pratyasa finished 2nd with a time of 2:24.55 which Shrungi was 2:31.24m. Both are not going to make the semifinals. The Best Indian Time is Maana Patel 02:19.30 while the fastest Indian time is 2:18.59 by Palak Joshi.
1:40pm | Rohit has qualified for the Semifinals of 50m Butterfly Men, he clocks the fastest Indian Time of 24.00s to be placed at 12th and will fly again in evening at 10:48pm The second Indian swimmer Harsh was 52nd out of 74 swimmers and will miss the semifinals
1:30pm | In the H4 Harsh Saroha (ET 25.78) clocks a 25.41s to finish 4th in heat, he wont make the Semifinals, while Rohit (ET 24.88) is in H6 and he clocks 24.00s to top his heat and that is a new National Record Time . That is better than the Best Indian Time which is 50m butterfly Veerdhawal Khade 00:24.09 which is also the fastest Indian Time.
1:26pm | Back to swimming we have 50m Butterfly heats ongoing and we have Harsh & Rohit, participating. Watch Out for Rohit.
1:25pm | In Taekwondo Shanaz Parveen lost to Croatian opponent Lucija (8.199 – 8.599) in the Women Individual Poomsae Round of 32. Here is an inspiring story on Shanaz

1:15pm | Nina finished 30th & Snigdha was 34th out of 48 swimmers in the 50m Butterfly Women Swimming event, the Best Indian Time is Divya Satija 00:28.33 while the fastest Indian time is 27.70 from Nina Venkatesh
1:10pm | In Taekwondo Tanishq Pareekh lost to Australian 6.682 – 8.332 Griffin in the Men Individual Poomsae Round of 32. What is Individual Poomsae, in Taekwondo is a competition where female athletes perform a prearranged sequence of movements, demonstrating technical skills, power, and grace, against imaginary opponents
1:08pm | Next up we have 50m Butterfly and Snigdha (ET 29.20) clocked 29.24s in the H3 to be placed at 2nd place while Nina (ET 28.38) clocked 28.43s for a 5th place finish, there are seven heats with Semis scheduled later in the night.
1:02pm | Aneesh finished 22nd while Shivank was 29th of the 35 swimmers, the cut off time was 3:51.32 for the Final. The Finals will see 2 Americans, 2 Brazilians, 1 Malaysian, 1 Japanese, 1 Italian & 1 Russian
12:43pm | Shivank does well for a Personal Best time of 4:06.61 to claim 5th in his heat & Aneesh claims 5th spot with a 3:59.45. Both will miss the finals but a good performance to better the entry time. The Best Indian Performance in 400m M Freestyle is Kushagra Rawat 03:52.75, while the fastest Indian time is Aryan Nehra at 3:52.55
12:30pm | The first event for the day is 400m Men Freestyle and India has two swimmers in there Shivank VISHWANATH who has an entry time of 4:13.17 in Heat 2 and Aneesh SUNIL KUMAR GOWDA who has 4:00.45 in Heat 3, there are a total of 5 heats and the final is scheduled at 10:30pm IST tonight, honestly its going to be difficult to make it from the H2 & H3
11:30am | Did you know that India Swept Both Compound Individual Golds in China! At the last #FISUGames, the Indian archery team delivered a stellar performance clinching both the men’s and women’s individual gold medals in the compound events at the 2021 World University Games (held in 2023 in China).

10:45am | Plenty of Indian action on the first day as we have as many as Seven Sports that Indian athletes will be participating today.
10:40am | On Day 0 of the opening ceremony, Indian Women Volleyball team was in action and had a disappointing outing with a straight set loss to Brazil, 8-25,10-25,8-25.
