Adelaide Open ATP 250
In the Adelaide Open, Sriram Balaji, partnering with Miguel Angel Reyes-Varela, emerged victorious in a thrilling first-round clash against the experienced duo of Rohan Bopanna and Nicolas Barrientos.
The match saw Balaji and Reyes-Varela bounce back after dropping the first set, ultimately winning 4-6, 6-2, 10-7.
It has not been a good start for Bopanna and his new partner Barrientos.
Balaji & Reyes-Varela’s run ended in the second round, where they lost to the fourth-seeded pair of Harri Heliövaara and Henry Patten in a closely contested match, 6-3, 3-6, 11-13.
Auckland Open ATP 250
Yuki Bhambri teamed up with Albano Olivetti to put up a commendable performance in the Auckland Open. The duo won their first-round match against Sander Arends and Luke Johnson with a straightforward 6-4, 6-4 victory.
They continued their winning streak in the quarterfinals, defeating the third-seeded pair Julian Cash and Lloyd Glasspool in a nail-biting match, 3-6, 6-4, 12-10.
However, their journey ended in the semifinals, where they lost to the top-seeded pair and eventual winners Michael Venus and Nikola Mektic, 6-3, 1-6, 5-10.
Challenger Circuit Success
Nonthaburi ATP Challenger 75
At the Nonthaburi ATP Challenger, Indian pairs had mixed results.
The duo of N. Kaliyanda Poonacha and Saketh Myneni fell short in the first round, losing to the pair of F. C. Alcantara and E. King in a hard-fought match, 4-6, 6-4, 8-10.
Meanwhile, Jeevan Nedunchezhiyan and Vijay Sundar Prashanth, seeded third, began their campaign with a straight-sets victory over the local wildcard pair of Pawit Sornlaksup and T. Suksumrarn, 7-6(3), 6-4.
Unfortunately, their run was halted in the quarterfinals by D. Cukierman and J. Paris, who won convincingly, 6-2, 6-0.
